More fodder for talk radio and other Boston mediots? ;)

Chad Ochocinco Invites Neighbors to IHOP at 5:30 a.m., But Gets Brushed Aside - Offbeat - NESN.com

Ochocinco tweeted Saturday morning that he was going to wake each of his neighbors up and invite them to IHOP for some breakfast. The results weren't exactly what he was hoping for, though, as he failed to find a companion amongst his neighbors for the early-morning trip.

Even teammate Brandon Spikes wouldn't tag along.

PS: Happy New Year everyone. :D

Not his brightest idea I would say. And in regards to Spikes, seems like more of a Spikes problem than a Ochocinco problem.

Sounds like some mediot is indeed scraping the bottom looking for a story. Perhaps 85's neighbors just had other plans?

This sounds like something from a tabloid or a JETS blogger.

The goal has been accomplished, free press for an idiotic story..

Ochocinco needs to get his head out of his butt.

Everyone knows the best breakfast on the South Shore is at Arthur and Pat's in Marshfield, MA.

I would consider being shunned by Spikes a compliment. Good player at times but overall weird dude.

Someone should have done Spikes a favor and challenged him to a no twitter 'til you make it back on the gameday active roster bet. He could use some pointers from Ocho at the very least on how to handle disgruntled followers... If players are determined to participate in socia media for whatever reason possesses them to, whether that be boredom or curiosity or self promotion, they should at least learn how to avoid alienating their following.

So it sounds like a lot of players would rather sleep than get up really early for breakfast. Seriously, a decline of an offer to go to breakfast at 5:30 in the morning is an indication that Spikes hates Ochocinco? If my best friend in the whole world asked me to go to breakfast at 5:30 in the morning, I would tell him to "*&%$ off".

the sad thing is one of the mediots if they get a hold of this info will make it into "his teammates hate him and his act".

BTW- NEP4, as someone who has criticized the mediots before, isn't it hypocritical for you to create such a misleading headline and attempt to "create" a story where there was none. All the "additional problems" for Chad, just came out of your *****. This thread should be closed for a lack of relevance and any shread journalistic integrity.

This is the kind of headline that Borges would write, only he'd shade the story so it would become about a lack of institutional control by the HC, and a sure sign that the end is right around the corner. At which point Mike Reiss would uncover the factoid that Ron Borges traces his ancestry back to the Mayans, and the REAL reason he thinks the "end is near" will become clear.

When Ian invented the Practice Squad, he had threads like this in mind.

This is thread is a tongue-in-cheek travesty that makes a mockery of the immaculate Boston media!

I, for one, welcome the move to the Practice Squad!

I hope the Pats throw lots of balls to Chad today. He needs to get up to speed for the playoffs so throw early and often his way and let's see if we can prime the ocho pump for the playoffs!!

he should've hooked up with his buds welker and gronk --- they were probably already in the weight room gettin' hype.
