Play Belichick in this one....

Brady obviously will never let anyone know how much he is hurting because he is a trooper but it's obvious he is having some pain.

Would you risk more injury to Brady by playing him in this game with Mankins and possibly Light out just to gather the #1 seed?...or play Hoyer who might not pull out a victory and end up at #2?

It's possible the Pats can still win without Brady, but the odds go way down.

Football players play football.

I think the Pats could beat the Bills anyway with Hoyer.

No player worth his salt wants to watch.....

I assume if Brady starts, it's because he's ok. He is the one who will decide if it's worth the risk or not. My guess, he'll be starting. May not finish depending on the score. Also, let's not forget, he's trying to pass Marino's yardage mark as well.

This...... We can win this week with Hoyer. We probably can't win a playoff game without Brady. If he's healthy, Brady should play. If there is any doubt, he should sit and be ready for the playoffs.

#1 seed is important. Brady will play, and the defense will probably force Brady to stay in the game.

I think we could win with Hoyer at QB, though. Team will start whoever they think gives them the best chance to win.

I guess flashbacks of Welker blowing out his knee against Houston will always creep into my head on the last week of the season.

Although in that game the team had NOTHING to play for.

Brady is not hurt. Everyone in the NFL has ache and pains this time of year. Anyone who throws for over 5,000 yards has a sore shoulder/elbow. Wednesdays are the traditional day vets get off if they need it, that's why he was not at practice...he will be back on Thursday.

I don't like the idea of the offense off for two weeks. Let the starters play 3 quarters or so.

Potential HFA is not worth injuring any player on this team at this point. I'd play Brady, Welker and Gronk one series only, then let Hoyer, Ridley and others get some experience. Is Taylor Price still on this team?

TBS, I'm hoping Belichick will start pulling guys early in the second half, regardless of the score.

He'll get enough rest during the bye week. Brady must play.

The Patriots only have a shot at getting to the Super Bowl by having the homefield advantage.

Has Brady EVER not started unless he was on IR? Exactly.

I can't remember, but did Brady start in the last game of the 2006 season when they lost to the Dolphins and went on to face Jacksonville instead of Denver?

I remember the last play of the game was when NE was near the goaline for a final play to win but Cassel threw the ball wildly and incomplete to preserve Miami's victory.

Can't play scared. Unless he has an injury that two weeks rest will greatly improve he should play.

There actually is a profound difference in the #1 seed and the # 2 seed. Specifically consider a formidable opponent such as the Baltimore Ravens since they are 3-4 on the road.

I don't remember if Brady started but I do remember that the last play was Cassel trying to convert a 2-point conversion after they scored at the end of regulation.

Not sure, but I think Brady did start and actually played a significant amount in the game. Correct me if I'm wrong but I seem to remember the issue people were talking about is if BB actually tried NOT to win that game because of the seedings and getting Jax as a higher seed instead of Pitt.

He did start.

Brady had the third- or fourth-longest QB start streak in NFL history.

And BB likely "suggested" that Cassel overthrow that pass. ;)
