That's because you have no argument here, and clearly don't know what you're talking about. But yet you keep pressing and continue to make yourself look foolish, something that is unlike you. Again, I watch every game including the offseason scrimmages and preseason, and even I have no idea what we have in Curry and Pittman. They're not going to get serious minutes until later in the year and right now, with injury sidelining one and inexperience surrounding the other (something which Riley has been traditionally against except in a few cases, one of them being Norris Cole), it's Joel Anthony's job to lose.
My argument is that we have a much deeper team than last year. Last year, the primary arguments for why the Heat wouldn't even make the Finals (remember that "Celtics win 4-2" prediction of your's last year, by the way? Good times.) is that we:
1. Didn't have a deep enough bench.
2. Were severely lacking at the PG position.
3. Were lacking at the C position.
They've addressed the bench issues by re-signing their valuable bench players from last season, bringing in Battier as a reserve forward (guy could probably start for most teams still), and getting a healthy Haslem back. The latter of which will be huge. They've addressed the PG position by keeping Chalmers, a solid defensive PG who can provide a spark off the bench, and drafting what looks like gold in Norris Cole, who can provide the same spark... only offensively. They've addressed the C position by giving Dexter Pittman more playing time in the preseason. He looked pretty solid in scrimmages and against Dwight Howard, where he was very physical. They also brought in Eddy Curry who, in his last full NBA season before injury, had his best season as a pro. Out of the three, their moves at the C position are still pending right now. I haven't seen enough to honestly say that they fully addressed that position, but I like what I've seen so far... which, no doubt, is a whole hell of a lot more than you have seen.
With that said, you're down on the centers we brought in in the place of Big Z and Dampier. So go ahead and stop deflecting the fact that your argument is weak with that snarky attitude of your's and answer this question: WHY are you so down on the centers they've brought in? What have you SEEN out of the two to make you form that opinion? Of course, I know that you won't answer this in your next post because you'd have to admit that you didn't know what you were talking about in your first post. So...
I see a team that went to the Finals last year and won two games in spite of all of those personnel issues that I mentioned. I see a team this year that's much deeper than that team. I see good things ahead. Well... if you're a Heat fan.
