From Rap Sheet today:

Rap Sheet said:
Brady also talked about several other topics. While he wasn’t asked specifically about an injury after being drilled on one of his runs late in the game - he had difficulty putting on his shirt after the game, favoring his left shoulder - Brady indicated he got caught between sliding and bracing himself for the blow on that particular play.

Well, I guess he was going for a matched set before he retires. :D

I missed the play but Zolak was talking about this after the game, it should be a source of concern..

The left shoulder injury, may not be as significant as a right shoulder.. but mechanics become an issue, and may have an impact..

QB sneaking is part of the game and soemtimes much more effectie than developing run plays in the backfield...I love the play and the way he runs it, and have no issue with him using it

It's a small concern, but not a massive one. There's very littel stress put on the oppsoite throwing shoulder during the motion. Youre required to keep it closed...it may be a little painful when directing his left arm at his target but I can't imagien this will be too tough to play with if it aches for a couple of weeks.

If is the case, hopefully the game can be put out of reach early enough on sunday so he can be pulled from the game. Why not showcase Hoyer to boost up his potential trade value in the off-season.

Really?

What happens if he hurts his THROWING arm on a QB sneak? Or his knee in a scrum?

Too bad. Getting 1 yard is a job for one of our RB's. To put the franchise (yes, The Franchise) at risk 4-5 times per game on a play that a RB can handle is just plain stupid.

Incredibly, we've had many posters here saying that in the 4th quarter it is a clock management tool. As if the clock runs any faster when a RB runs it into the line.

1-2 times per game for a sneak is fine. 4-5 times per game over a season is cheating fire.

This is full of fallacies. First: Getting 1 yard is not the job of the RBs; rather, it is the job of whoever has the best chance of getting 1 yard. That happens to be Brady most of the time. Second: there is no handoff when Brady sneaks it--thus it is a superior clock management tool because there is no risk of a turnover, plus a running back may lose yards, while brady will either gain yards or there will be no gain. Third: I have never seen a QB get hurt on a QB sneak. I think it has to be one of the safest things a QB can do...just falling in to the back of his offensive line's legs. The QB's legs are out of the scrum and it would be hard to imagine an upper extremity getting damagmed in a scrum (again I don't recall this ever happening). It is far less dangerous obviously than dropping back to pass, and it comes on some of the most important plays of the game, so why should they be shy about doing it? This is just poorly thought out by you.

I believe Chris Chandler got a concussion doing a QB sneak when he was with Atlanta ..... then again Chandler had concussions making toast in the morning.

This made me laugh. The original "Mr. Glass". Look, I'm not saying it is impossible to get hurt on a QB sneak. I'm just saying it is not so dangerous that you wouldn't do it if it is your best play in short yardage.

Chandler was like Grogan. He held he ball until the last possible second. I don't think you can call him Mr. Glass.

How many concussions do you think Grogan suffered. Chandler played a decade later when they yanked you from games.

I'm not sure why Chandler held the ball so long but I suspect it had everything to do with the concussions.

I have complained long and loud about the 3-4 QB sneaks he does per game. It's too much/too risky and is bound to bite the team in the butt.

Read the Rap Sheet post. He didn't get injured on a sneak. He got injured on an actual run:

Rap Sheet said:
Brady indicated he got caught between sliding and bracing himself for the blow on that particular play.

“There’s some times when you just know you’re going to take a pretty good lick and you’ve got to go for it anyway,” said Brady. “I was just caught in between two guys. There was a guy coming on my left and a guy coming on my right. It was kind of a critical point in the game. I got out of the pocket. Because I’m not out of the pocket very much, it’s hard for me to make good decisions because I don’t get to practice it very often. Quarterbacking is about making good decisions. One of those is whether to slide or whether to go shoulders-first towards the first-down market. I just kind of got caught in-between a little bit.”

But lets face it, he doesn't do it 4-5 times every game...it was rare that he did it so much, but when you consider we were having struggles on the O Line with the make shift group we had, and that the issues were really being hidden by the way we spread the ball out, that may have contributed to Brady wanting to get the extra yard himself. Our line wasn't dominating even int he run game...it may have been a show of what little faith we had in that situation. We also couldn't really go to our heavy 3 TE package due to personnel issues with injuries.

As I said, he generally doesn't do it as much as he does. You can't protect QBs all game, they have to bare some brunt of it sometimes...this is a mans game. You can't 'molly coddle' these guys left, right and center.

 I really hope it's minor as I'd like Tom Terrific in good shape for the playoffs.

He's got three weeks to rest. He better be OK or I'll be very sad.

Brady is doing more QB sneaks because BJGE has a turf toe which is removing his power game. Otherwise BJGE would be getting those short yardage FDs anfd TDs.

Read it more carefully. BRADY INDICATED that he hurt it on the running play.

I forget where it read about it a few years ago, but sneaks were a point of contention between him and McDaniels. God bless him, he's a gamer and wants the ball.

The video of that second sneak doesn't lie, however. All one has to do is look at how he came off the field.

I feel there are better ways to get 1 yard than to put the franchise at risk. Anyone who doesn't know what goes on in the bottom of NFL piles should read up. A fist to the side of the knee is by comparison cleaner than the other stuff.

I appreciate that other people have different risk comfort levels. This year, No Brady = No Chance.

Check out the video of the 2nd of his QB sneak TD's from Sunday - - it looks like he did it on that one. As he comes off the field, ball is in his right armand his left arm is not swinging , it's just down by his side.

I watched and a second one at that and once he is on the sidelines he is moving both arms normally. I'm not sure exactly what you are seeing.

You honestly seem to be in hysterics over nothing. He could get just as hurt dropping back to pass and getting sacked.
