Fletcher played 100% of the defensive reps. Welcome back to full strength!

Brown played over 75% of the reps at safety. Slater is playing no more (1 rep). Jones played a lot (over 50% of the reps). Ventrone had a few reps.

See below for the 3 LB's and 4 DB's that played more than 75% of the game.

90%+
Arrington
Fletcher
Ihedigbo
Mayo
McCourty
Wilfork

75%+
Ninkovich
Brown

Dane Fletcher is a very interesting player. His combination of burst and instincts is pretty rare, and if he continues to hone his skills he could become a staple of this defense for years to come. Not since the days of Teddy Bruschi have I seen a linebacker slice through the A gap on a blitz like he did twice on Saturday.

that was some cool stuff ..

Yeah, Dane Fletcher always seems very aware of whats going on. He definitely has a high football IQ. I think he's very underrated.

Which, of course, begs the question of why he went undrafted in the first place. Then again, given that 31 other teams could have drafted him but didn't, I won't complain. ;)

well i think that can be answered by Small school and the fact he was a conversion from a college DE to a 3-4 ILB.

All of those generally add up to very late round/UDFA

I love Fletcher, not only is he exceeding expectations but he seems like a genuinely nice guy as well. I met him during 2010 training camp before any one knew much about him and got him to sign my football. Definitely seems Bruschi-esque

So Guyton and the other STers didn't play any LB at all. Interesting ...

Spikes was pretty effective too imo.

I wonder if we'll see them this week.

It's not interesting to me. It's more about time, I tell ya.

Guyton looks like a player, but have you ever seen him tackle? Carl Banks he is not.

McCourty looked very awkward on his INT......timing was off and he caught the ball on his way down....:rocker:

Minor things that coaching should be able to fix.....Who is the DB coach?

The ball was under thrown, and he picked it. Had the ball been thrown accurately, it was a TD. I wonder how much the defense improves with Chung back there.
