Does he ever suck, or what. I have to give it to Peyton. He does have great fundamentals. Arm strength, quick release, competitive. His little brother is really bad though. Pennington and Garcia both look(ed) better today. No need to mention Tom.

The Chargers raped the Giants in the Eli trade. Rivers, Merriman and Kaeding (all three pro-bowlers) in the draft day trade for Eli. You think the Chargers are glad now that Eli didn't want to play for them?

Yeah his "laser rocket arm" delivered some nice passes to Ty Law yesterday.

i dislike the mannings but i think Eli is not even close to peyton inspite of peyton manning's post season struggles..
i would take peyton over eli any day and the giants just got fooled by the last name in draft

It is a family full of losers.

Eli is a loser like his brother Peyton, who is a loser like his father Archie.

A family full of losers.

They have been passing down the art of losing for decades and i'll be damned if Eli wins anything to screw up that wonderful Manning family trait.

Ah crap. I hate the Giants. I really hope they don't win this one.

game tied ...now we hear the
"eli manning" maturation process speech from everyone :)

What I hated was them talking about Tiki going to the Hall of Fame. For a guy who's had 3 or 4 good seasons (and I say good, not great), he sure gets an awful lot of publicity.

Well, Manning helped em get back into it and then the Giants defense totally failed.... Not much Manning can do about that.

Corey Dillon has had as good a career, and more balanced. It hurt him being in Cincinnati though.

Someone should ask Eli Manning if he even wants to play football.

I just get the feeling that this guy was pushed into playing football because of his brother and father. Playing football does not look like fun for Eli.

Am I the only one who thinks that if Elisha Nelson's last name was not Manning then he would not have been a number 1 overall?

Gotta add a..

I got to tell you, I don't think it was Eli. I think his father pushed Eli to refuse to play for the Chargers. I believe it was all Archie and Eli wasn’t yet grown up enough to to be his own man. NY is too much pressure for a rookie with a big name. I believe Eli would have done better in SD, or any other team with less media and fan expectations. And Tom Coughlin lost control, the Giants were 6-2 and then fell apart and Coughlin had no answers. Payton went to the abysmal Colts and was allowed to develop. If Eli went to say the Texans or some team like that, then I think he would have a better chance to mature into a quality player. I truly believe Eli is a victim of his own father.

Yeah-he consistently misses open receivers(there was one to Shockey wide open in the middle that could have gone for a TD).

It wasn't like the Eagles D was fantastic or anything-it was mostly him. He played well at the end though.

Peyton Manning = Caviar

Eli Manning = Tuna Fish
