Twitter update by Michael Fabino....

Not sure what the injury is.. Will post the link soon...

With him out, Ravens can't beat to beat steelers or Pats... is it safe to say PIT AND NE are meeting in AFCCG ? :)

Torrey Smith has been playing well for them, he's a genuine deep threat.

you're a deep threat only if you're catching the ball consistently downfield instead of dropping it wide open...

The tweet says "regular season". He may be back for the playoffs. I changed your thread title.

His 17.9 average and 7 TDs gives defenses something to think about.

Question

If the Texan's win out are they assured a First Round Bye? Wouldn't mind Pitt and Bal being the Third and Sixth Seeds, that could really improve our Chnaces...playing two games to get to the SB is still better than playing Three...things happen.

No. According to playoffstatus.com, if the Pats and Ratbirds win out, then Houston cannot get a first-round bye; every other elimination scenario, though, requires at least one Texans loss.

Case 19
Patriots beat the Dolphins, and
Ravens beat the Browns, and
Patriots beat the Bills, and
Ravens beat the Bengals

Are you sure the Texans would get the bye over the Ravens? I thought the Ravens hold the tiebreaker due to them beating the Texans head to head. Now if the Steelers some how wins the north & houston wins out,the bye goes to the Texans. I think.

Re: Question

Ravens can't figure out how to use Boldin properly anyway. He's a middle of the field, possession guy.

Texans could win out...Ravens possibly 1-1 in their next two...they are horrible on the Road @ Cinci to close.

Boldin doesn't worry me...he has a streaky QB throwing to him..now if he has say a TB or AR...he would be doing much better

This could change the playoff field because that Ravens @ the Bengals game is going to be a win and you're in probably for the Bengals. It will be tough for Balt to win that game without him.

A cinci win helps make Jets post season odds more difficult

Yep, it would also bump Houston to the #2 seed, Pittsburgh to the #3 seed, and Baltimore to the #5 seed. (If Houston/Pitt were to win out and Balt lose to bengals)
