Fans over reacting to a football game: get a grip
By: John Morgan

Think Pats fans overreact to a loss - or a win that was not dominant enough? Thankfully most New England fans don't compare to at least one Packer fan ...

I thought this was going to be a thread about something like the one with the kid throwing a tantrum because his team lost.

This is about assault...and, what's worse, by a parent on a child. It's really not funny.

"...really not funny..."? No freakin' kidding! It's horrible.

Yeah. My point. What's it doing here? You see a thread like this and you expect it to be humorous. This is sad and exploits a tragedy.

Mods. Please send this off to "Other Forum Land."

Why does it have to be humorous? I think the lesson is salient; remember that it's only a game and relax.

Agree. It's a game, and win or lose, the sun will come up the next morning, the stars will still shine in the heavens, and the only thing certain for any of us is death and taxes. :D

Its only a game....not life or death...

if you act like that ....you need to get a life.....

As a bay area resident (about half the time), this story reminded me of the guy who was nearly killed (and still fighting for his life) after a Dodgers/Giants game as well as the appalling fiasco of the Raiders/Niners game. How does an individual arrive at a point in their life where the tally of a bunch of people running around chasing a rubber ball causes you to be criminally violent? Now we can add to the wonderment of that human fringe the headline 'Home Field Advantage Remaining Un-Clinched For an Additional Week, Mom Chokes Her Child'. Super!

Fixed it for you :D
