Going to my first Pats game! Need help!

Fellow Pats fans, two quick questions that I could really use your help with. I will be traveling to Boston for my first ever Pats game against the Bills!

1. What is the best way to get from Boston to Foxboro on non-game days? I know about the train from Boston to Foxboro on game days, but I would like to visit the Hall and Patriot Place on other days.

2. What would you recommend as the best place to spend New Years Eve at in Boston?

1. Driving is really the only option I can think of. A taxi would be EXTREMELY expensive.

I WAS going to my first Pats game in Denver, but long story short 2 days before I was supposed to leave the ex girlfriend I was going to the game with and planning on visiting changed her mind on the type of visit we were going to have (total 180 and we were planning this for over a month). I actually now wish I would have went by myself instead of selling the tickets (which thankfully doubled in value) or even just offered a ticket to someone on here to join me.

So anyway now that I'm done trying to make people feel sorry for me, I think I may try to make a playoff game. This would only be my second NFL game, I'm from Canada so I'm wondering: How much are playoff tickets usually going for in Foxborough, and can you even get your hands on any?

They're going to be really expensive if you get them off stubhub, ebay, or any secondhand ticket broker. The best way to get them at a reasonable price is to get on the season ticket waiting list, which gives you access to the Patriots Ticket Exchange. The great thing about Ticket Exchange is that you get the tickets at face value....the problem is waiting for someone to place their tickets on there. If going to Pats games will be a rare occurance for you then Ticket Exchange may not be the best option, as it cost $100 to sign up.

Keep in mind the $100 deposit is refundable. It may take a while to get your money back if/when you decide to get off the waiting list, but it's not as if it is gone forever.

Hi, I am new on the forum but an old Pats fan. I am planning to go and see the game next Sunday but don't have my tickets yet. I registered for the waiting list but I can seem to be able to use my account yet. Is it too late to get tickets for Sunday's game?

I am going to my first pats game this weekend. I cant seem to find out what time the stadium opens. Does anyone know? I want to get there early enough to get pics of the team warming up. Are there any places in the stadium you can get autographs? We went to Baltimore and the team walks right by you and you can get autographs. I didn't know if foxboro is similar. Any other tips for a first timer? Thanks!

Parking lots open four hours before kickoff, and the gates open two hours before kickoff.

This board won't let me start my own thread (not enough posts) so I will try tacking my question onto this old one.

I'm coming from Austin, TX to see the game on Sunday night (12/16). Staying at the Hilton at the airport so I can get back early Monday morning.

I want to be at the stadium a couple of hours early (6-ish) to take a look around. It seems that commuter rail to Walpole and then a cab is the way. (anyone got suggestions for a cab company?)

But how can I get back? Can I buy a round trip ticket on the Patriot train and not use the outbound part?

Anyone on here able to offer a ride to two people from Boston and back. I'll pay your gas, parking and give you some beer money.
