Welcome everyone to the PatsFans.Com talk show.

On todays show we shall whine about:

> 4th and 5th receivers.

> Practice squad players who get to play too much - this is troublesome. :wha:

> Special Teams players acting like starters.

> HOF caliber coaches who cannot evaluate WR's and DB's and DE's.

> Who should be the 52nd and 53rd players on the roster.

and much, much more ... no detail is too small to complain :enranged:about here?

In that case, I can't stand it when people use the wrong "to" and "too". This thread sucks.:D

What's wrong with addressing my concerns and misgivings about the Patriots on an internet forum dedicated for Patriots' fans? Raising questions starts discussions. What else is the purpose of this forum? Should this forum be littered with "BB is a genius", "TFB = GOAT", and "GRONK'D" comments?

There are a few people on this forum that think they live on some sort of higher plane of Patriot fanhood because they never question the team's personnel moves or play calling, or call them out for playing shi1tty in the fourth quarter of a game. It's pretty stupid.

Edit: I'm not being rhetorical.

If the roster limit was 80 players everything would be fine. But we can only roster 53 ... some people forget this when they complain. Also, Belichick changes how the team will run from year to year. Players drafted this year or last year may not fit into how the team needs to be run now.

We are lucky to have a coach who can morph the team from week to week - this is why we are 9-3. Fans should be happy we have a winning team every year and also fans should realize Bill does not have an exclusive on players or intelligent ideas. Sometimes the other team just does it better - so what.

Bet lesser teams fans come here and wish they had our problems regarding 5th and 6th receiver options .

Back to grade school for you

Learn the meanings for "too". The first meaning is "also" or "besides"; the second meaning is "excessively" or "extra". In addition, some people use it to mean "very". Think of too as being relevant when there is an increase in something, such as temperature, difficulty, sensitivity, etc., "too hot", "too challenging", or "too soft". Hence:
  • Choose the word "too" when it can be substituted for the word "also".
    • For example: "She felt awful, too (also)" or "I can see you too (also)".

  • Use "too" to modify or emphasize a word.
    • For example: "The weather is too (excessively) hot", "I've eaten too (excessively) much", or "The package is too (excessively/extra) big".

  • "He wasn't too (very) interested in my book."

You are right, a forum such as this is an excellent place to have such discussions.

However, there is a certain vocal minority here that aren't truly really interested in discussions; more likely their goal is to agitate other, and get noticed. All they want to do is let everybody how awful everything is, and say essentially the same two or three things hundreds of times. They're not really interested in conversation; they just look for any opportunity to go on a b!tchfest to rip the team. And they're not the least bit interested in solutions; they just want make sure that everybody know everything sucks.

There are plenty of specific areas that deserve discussion. The problem I - and I'm guessing, a few others - have is the handful that hijack as many threads as possible into their own soapbox to declare that everything is wrong with this team, and they feel there is zero room for debate on that stance.

They're so adamant in their views, I have no idea why they bother to watch this team because they can't possibly enjoy anything about them. Not coincidentally they are nowhere to be found after a well played win, which causes me to wonder if they are actually even fans of this team.

Differing views and discussions about how best to improve areas of need is one thing. Constant, incessant whining is another. Their never-ending negativity does not make for good conversation, nor does it make for an enjoyable forum experience. I am confident far more people have been driven away from this site due to the negative nancies than have departed due to the rose-colored homers.

I'm failing to see my mistake. Please elaborate.

You are correct. It should have been "no detail is too small", but, given that he used the TWO words correctly everywhere else, I would give him the benefit of the doubt and think it was a typo.

Chuck Norris is scared of the words, to, too and two. :scared:

I typically don't care for grammar on an internet forum, but he was being callous to someone who had correctly pointed out a typo/mistake. :/

I'm done caring about this now. :)

It seems irony is also on today's list.:D
