9-3 feels great...but something is still missing

a few questions:

- which of the injured players would have made a difference yesterday?
- do you actually believe that there's some mystery equation that has the planets lining up at the right time (playoffs)?

Made a difference? How do injured players "make a difference" in a WIN?

There is a lot missing from this team. Right now it looks like a mirage.

How about we get a couple of pass rushers. How about we actually draft players that can play and not players with serious medical issues. Ras I Dawling comes to mind immediately.
"Value" does not tackle, Value does rush the passer and Value does not put fans in the stands."

We also need to look at the coaching staff. This team cannot develop a WR to save their collective lives.

We need a new GM. BB needs to focus on coaching. Bring in a real GM.

I fear that if this team goes one and done in the playoffs like the last two years we will soon be back to blackouts.

And

those are some of their best players?

as for the ravens, they don't need to worry as the crap teams will not be in the playoffs, and they don't need much of a flacco to repeat what they did in their last playoff game here.

right now, there is no difference between this team and the one that flopped in the playoffs last year

keep the excuses and the TBC jokes coming

No I am done with you. I pitty you actually. It must be tough to go through life so miserable that you have to make incredibly moronic and anger-filled statements on this board so people can ridicule you and make you look stupid by easily shooting down you stupid statments.

You are just like the same ignorant callers on 98.5 and WEEI like Steve from Fall River who spout the same catch phrases over and over again thinking they will mean something if you do it over and over.

I'll let someone else deal with your stupidity. Your act is boring to me now.

There is no difference between the team that flopped in the playoffs last year and the team that beat the same opponent 45-3 earlier in the year.

Message: It is not so much what you are, but how you play on that day, because every team has some flaws to cover up every time they take the field.

I still feel like we're not yet ready for Pittsburgh or Baltimore. I feel like if the playoffs come, and Brady doesn't play a spectacular game, we will lose. I just hope Brady and the offense are ready to bring their A game to every postseason game we play this year, because they're are only hope. We can't expect out soft defense to suddenly come alive in the playoffs, it's wishful thinking. It will come down to how stud like our offense performs.

9-3 is excellent for this team, # 1 in the AFC right now. I would love to get homefield advantage.

Baltimore and Pitt have some very fine young WR's wish we could say the same.:snob:

Well I'm hoping Brady plays lights out in the post season. I love when the Pats are underdogs or playing with their backs against the wall.

If this team gets the bye, they won't be underdogs to anyone, whether they are the 1 or 2 seed

Or, I'll take the leading WR in the league to go along with record setting TE's instead.

Don't miss my point i meant young WR's with speed...imagine if we had a young WR in the mold of a Terry Glenn back in his rookie year? Imagine if Gronk had WR clearing out stuff for him. Greatest show on earth.

Not just injured players (Chung, Fletcher, Vollmer, Spikes, Connolly, Wendell, etc.) but guys who didn't see their normal share of action yesterday (Guyton, Molden, Faulk, etc.). If you don't think what BB did with personnel yesterday was with the future in mind, you're not paying attention.

Some people here seem to act as if Pittsburgh and Baltimore field 22 Pro Bowlers, force all their opponents into a three-and-out on every possession, and have yet to turn the ball over or been forced to punt on offense.

The reality is that the four primary contenders in the AFC all have their unique strengths and weaknesses. There is no clear cut, absolute, 'no way this team can beat that one' from among those four teams that certain forum members want to try to convince others is an absolute truth, for whatever their reasons may be.

If all you look for is one team's strengths and another team's weaknesses, then that's all you are ever going to see.

the fact that so many of these guys are frail prevents anyone from acting with the future in mind. looks more like the patching of a sinking ship than some measure of a future design

I'll take a TE and WR with great hands anyday over speed. Mike Wallace and Torrey Smith have nothing on Welker or Gronk

This team's missing both a defense and an outside receiver who can beat press man coverage.

That's why they record isn't inspiring more chest beating among Patriots fans. The fans are smart enough to know a flawed team when they see one, and they see major flaws with this team.

The good news is that a bye would mean only 2 playoff games to get to the Super Bowl, with only 1 of those even possibly being on the road.

3 of the 4 have something resembling a defense.....they give up fewer points, they give up fewer yards......they are superior defensively to the pats in every regard. they all have the general makeup of teams that can make things miserable for the pats in the playoffs....all 3 are designed to put pressure on the QB

The problem for 2011 isn't that something is missing.

The problem for 2011 is that the season would be much more enjoyable if there were some thinks that became missing at patsfans.com.

I think this team needs a game on the road in the playoffs......the home thing has proven to be no great shakes the last few years....

what happens at patsfans has no impact on the season.
