not sure if anyone noticed it, but Ocho was a part of some of the no huddle packages today. thats a pretty good sign that he can be a help to us once we reach the post-season...

I thought his catch on 3rd and 8 was nice, plus the deep pass was just a great play by the defender to break it up

even Underwood got a pass his way today.

I think the pats need to work both these guys in more in the offense because they both can help us in the post-season

Agreed, I think it is a positive indication though still within a muddled, more negative situation. If, and it is a big if, Ocho can get going, the Pats O will be machine like. It will, most likely, mean the end of the Dallas-NYG-1st Half of Jets and KC offensive performances. There will just be too many options for opposing defenses to deal with. If that becomes the case, the only way to stop this O will be an opposing D line that gets the better of our OL.

The good news is Ocho has a career that says he can be that threat. The bad news is it is week 12 and he hasn't been that threat yet -- which is to say it has reached a time critical point of making it happen.

I think we've got to give him a game in these last 4 where we just throw him into the fire and get him alot of reps if anything just to see how he can help us, build his confidence that he knows what hes doing.

because against teams who can play tight man coverage in the playoffs we are going to need Ocho.....Branch tends to struggle against those types of teams.

He played what, 10 snaps? And now has a whopping 13 catches on the year. Can't believe people are still grasping onto straws with this guy. Ocho finally got into the no huddle for a series in like week 12 . Good work 85, those millions of dollars and draft picks we spent on you are finally paying off.

What I don't understand about Chad is

When the hell did he become so awkward?

He was always one of the smoothest most confident guy in the league.....

Then poff..........He just doesn't look right. Doesn't make any sense

Wasn't he in for a snap or two of no-huddle for the Chiefs game?

One of the plays he straight lolly gagged didn't look like he knew which route to run..luckily Brady never looked his way.

After his drop, he was benched in favor of Underwood. Didn't see him on the field for the rest of the game.

I will be shocked if he is still on the roster by the end of the year.

Pretty sure that wasn't even a drop.

It wasn't even a drop and he's been injured last week so maybe instead of aggraving it he chose to step out.

Yes, Ocho knowingly stepped out of a game because he didn't want to reaggrivate a minor injury he suffered weeks ago. If any player pulled that they would be cut immediately. Hate to break it to you koolaiders but 85 was a bad acquisition. Its been apparent since the first Buffalo game.

I agree. It sucks because I like the guy. I feel as though he is probably a good locker room presence and he seems earnest in his desire to learn.

That doesn't change the fact that he hasn't learned enough to get a lot of snaps, and TB clearly doesn't trust him. If he did, he would keep coming back to him.

It wouldn't shock me to see Ocho go somewhere else and be successful.. he still has the speed and agility. But in this particular offense he is simply not cutting it. I don't feel he has the mental capacity to excel in our system.

If they keep him and he goes off I will be among the first to admit I was wrong, as I was one of his strongest advocates coming into this season and even last year.

At this point, however, I don't see it happening.

He's the fifth option in this offense. Why is everyone surprised he doesn't see the ball a lot? :bricks:

I'm more surprised that he is our fifth option.

The replay showed that was clearly a drop. And the worst part of it was that was a play Brady specifically set up for him when they were on the sideline during the previous change of possession while he was reviewing polaroids with his real WR's and called Ocho in to the mix in hopes he could finally become one...

Belichick has to figure out one of these days that if you need a team to be physically and mentally tough on the field you need to sign guys who are...'cause that is a skillset you can encourage if it exists but you can't teach.

it really wasnt a drop...ive watched the replay too...the safety made a nice play on the ball and knocked it out of his hands after he had caught it. I almost thought he had it for abit.

the buffalo ball= Drop....Colts.=not a drop

he hasnt been good at all, but I dont get why people are making up stuff to prove hes bad

You're right, Belichick totally needs to take your advice on who he should and shouldn't sign. That's what's missing.

Seriously, for all the crap that you heap on anyone who questions anything that the Patriots do, it's more than a little funny to see you questioning his philosophy on personnel acquisition.

And no, for the record, that wasn't a drop.

Amazing that people are still complaining about Ocho's production when Welker & Gronkowski have combined for 158 receptions, 2181 yards and 21 touchdowns in 12 games.

These two are so dominant and getting that open that Brady HAS to throw to them.
