Are you getting nervous about Devin McCourty?

I know this was his first game back from injury..but man..he is no where close to what he was last year. I really hope last year wasn't a fluke..he NEEDS a big game before the playoffs..if not..not confident with him at all...

It seems like a confidence issue. He isn't totally out of position but its like he's doesn't want to look for the ball in fear of losing his man.

something happens to these guys going into year two ... happened with Butler as well .. Butler was pretty good his first year, then kaboom .. its ovah for Devin ..

He looked just as bad, if not worse the first few games of the season. Was playing much better until the injury.

He seems to be affected by rust, first the lockout now the injury, I'll wait until late December to get nervous.

Not really. I thought he had looked better of late after sucking in the beginning of the year.

Consistency seems to be his issue, now, which is typical for those experiencing the dreaded sophomore slump.

he has not been good at man coverage all year and this was he's first game back from injury vs a pretty good WR, but it is what it is guys like Vince Young and Dan Orlovsky will throw for 300+ on this defense and it's going to be like that every week

I think we all acknowledge that McCourty hasn't lived up to expectations, and his play has diminished from his freshman form.

Of course he's been bad..but you have to wait out the year before you bench him for another no name or a guy we don't have. I still trust him to make more plays than the out guy replacing him..even if he hasn't made a play.

I'll still take Dez, we have a great TE and a great slot WR. We need a play maker on the outside or we are EFFED in the playoffs. As I write this, Dez just caught a TD from Romo.
