They are broadcasting from Gillette stadium today and our awesome head coach will be there at 9:15!

:rocker:

Thank you for the heads up!

Caught Mike Reiss, but will TIVO the rest and catch it later.

Good find..

Zzzzzzzzzz ... Same non-answers as always. "We need to improve on offense, defense and special teams." "Tom is accurate and works hard." "What matters is how the two teams play on Sunday." "We always try to do what's best for our football team."

I love BB, but this was another non-event. The Pats' PR staff should just hand out recordings of all his cliched answers whenever someone wants to schedule an interview. There would be no difference.

They should make one of those toys where you pull the string, and an arrow spins and where it lands is the recording that gets played. That could be the way he does interviews from now on.

Reporter: Coach, what can you say about this week's opponent?
Toy: "Well, they work hard on offense, defense and special teams. They have a lot of good players at the skill positions, as well as talent down in the trenches. You really have to prepare well for them."

Reporter: Coach, where would you put this week's game in terms of the season?
Toy: "We just play who's on the schedule"

Reporter: Coach, is playing on a Thursday night after a Sunday night game harder than normal?
Toy: "We just play who's on the schedule"

Reporter: Coach, you've got the Dolphins this week. Any comment on that?
Toy: "We're just trying to take it week to week here."

Reporter: What can you say about that ticky-tack pass interference call that almost cost you the game?
Toy: "It is what it is"

Reporter: [Inane Question]
Toy: Goes on a rant after the string has been pulled too many times.

Apparently he did deliver one backhanded zinger directed at this weeks opponent...or more specifically their head honcho Napolian... (Paraphrasing) Said Tom is a great QB but even without him we managed to win 11 games in 2008 because we have a program...

Indy has a program too. It's just one dimentional... start Manning.

Mike and Mike are not good enough to get anything out of Belichick. Their show is too lightweight. They can barely get anything interesting out of guests who love to talk about everything. I really only listen to them when they have a decent analyst on because all they do is have to throw softball questions and let the analyst run with it. Ok, I like listening to Greenie after a Jets loss.

Greenie just blubbers when his Jets lose....

He's like Ray Ray Jr.........

I was listening to this live and it was definitely unusual how he went out of his way to make that point. I chalked it up to wanting to give the other guys credit, but I'm sure there was some element of him wanting to draw a distinction between the two franchises.

I only listen to these guys for Cris Carter, who has become one of my favorite analysts.

That's awesome. Right up there with Welker on the feet thing last year. Wonder if Belichick will bench himself for the first series Sunday. ;)

Breer was on Felger and Maz yesterday predicting a 56-3 Pats blowout ....saying that BB will run it up to prove his Cassel season proved to the football world that his system is complete and the Colts are frauds. Now BB zings the Colts today......guess Brady will be throwing bombs with 5 seconds left on the clock up by 45.

I set my alarm early on Mondays after Jets losses. Between Greenie's distress and Golic's piling on, it always puts me in a great mood for the day :)

I didn't figure they'd get anything out of BB this AM, but I'm disappointed to hear my assumption was correct. Oh well.

Not sure there is much satisfaction to be derived from blowing out a team that is not trying to be competitive in the first place.

Sounds satisfying to me.

Wait! Breer actually picked the Pats. I'm surprised he didn't take out his weekly argument of "the Colts are a better match up for the Pats than most people think" or "the Pats are definitely going to have a hiccup down the stretch and this could be the game". Since he has gone national, he has become the biggest Patriots contrarian.

Considering that Polian and at the time his holier than thou overhyped figurehead HC were among the driving forces on the rigged competition committee in convincing a rookie commissioner to make a mountain out of a misunderstanding... And judgemental Dungy has been hypercritical at every opportunity since running away from competition and into the broadcast booth. There would be plenty of satisfaction. Bill actually likes and respects Peyton. Has little or no use for the rest of the powers that be in Indy...

I think he's done that in part to cover for his own naivete in falling hard for that crap Tuna was selling in Dallas and onto Miami... So many in the media are jock sniffing, name dropping suckers for any player, coach or FO type who will befriend them and play footsies access in the quid pro quo game the vast majority are engaged in ad nauseum in hopes of furthering or retaining careers... Unlike the no nonsense HC here who just figures winning and doing your job should be what insures that.
