I live in Seattle and have been to a few games over the years. It is INCREDIBLY loud there. I have left the games with my ears ringing. If you're going to go to the Clink you should bring ear plugs.

It's also a beautiful stadium. Was disappointed the Pats game was so late in the season when they played there, I would have liked to have driven out there.

They had a RB pair of Lynch and Jackson, then they let Lynch go and replaced him with Spiller to get Jackson/Spiller.

The funniest thing, IMO, is how many first round picks the Bills have used on RBs. They drafted McGahee in the first, then let him go and drafted Lynch in the first, then let him go and drafted Spiller in the first. THe best part is, if you could rank the three of them on this year's production, you'd probably go with McGahee > Lynch > Spiller.

If you'd bother to watch the NFL, you'd realize Lynch is having a very good season, in particular down the stretch.

But the point is, they made the decision to start Jackson. They're not going to pay Lynch 1st rounder money to sit. And Jackson is way better.

Wildly inconsistent? You haven't been watching him play in 2011 have you? He's back in 2007/2008 form behind a patchwork offensive line with a QB struggling with arm injury issues.

Lynch was on about 3 million per season with the Bills. That's not outrageous, that's value for money. Jackson's never been the starter for 16 games in a season either.

It was a dumb move and the Bills have a history of dumb moves (as presented to you). I'm sure a quick search of my post history will substantiate that I would have liked the Patriots to bring him in and use him in our system. He seems like the type of back who would have flourished.

But it wouldn't make sense for a team to keep him as a backup, imo. It's the equivalent of the Pats keeping Bledsoe on after Brady became the starter, just to have a better backup. Instead, they got good trade value for him. Ty Warren contributed much more than Bledsoe ever would have.

That's not how RB depth, or the NFL in general, works. You need at least 2 quality RBs, and they only have one. It was an issue before, and it's a season-derailing problem now that Jackson's IRed.

Also, just to be clear, the point that you're trying to make is "thy're not going to pay Lynch 1st rounder money to sit, so instead they paid Spiller 1st rounder money to sit."? That makes a lot of sense.

If the Patriots had then proceeded to spend a first round pick on Brady's backup, your analogy would be kinda apt.

You're trying to claim that the Bills knew they were all set with Jackson as the starter and whatever else they could manage as depth. Clearly that wasn't the case, though; we know this because they proceeded to immediately spend a first round pick on another RB.

They let Lynch go because of some combination of a) off-field problems and b) they didn't think he was very good. In any case, they sold low and Seattle got a fantastic deal.

Eh; to me, it's the kind of deal BB makes all of the time. They could have sat Lynch on the bench the rest of the season behind Freddy & gotten nothing for him at that point. I don't think that's better, personally.
