ESPN- "Source says team plans to release McNabb today". Will the Colts pick him up?

Sign the beast!!!!!

Errr....ummmmm.....never mind.

Don't the Jets need help at qb?

McNabb to the Jets would be hysterical. I hate this move, it makes it less likely that we can make a move for Joe Webb, who I covet as a WR.

Doubt the colts would pick him up.I know McNabb has sucked but i am sure the bears would love to have him.

It will be interesting to see if the Texans go after him. Or maybe people around the league just think he's done.

McNabb on the Texans may not be bad. He has through waivers, so some team may claim him before the Texans

McNabb's either going to the Colts or Bears I think. Probably Bears.

Sometimes it is best to just quit, while some folks still have a good memory.. rather than continue on making a fool of yourself.

If you're already out of the playoff picture, there's not a lot of point in picking up the contract of an expensive vet like McNabb. But this is an interesting year, with 2 teams in Houston & Chicago that find themselves with strong records and nobody at all to play quarterback. McNabb could actually find himself playing games that matter before this season is over.

See Brett Favre on "making a fool of yourself" during last year:

He could go to Chicago and help keep that team as a playoff team.

McNabbs favorite WR is the TURF!!!:rocker:

Yeah, McNabb to Chicago makes a lot of sense. He's grew up in the area, too.

Like a Thanksgiving Turkey, McNabb is finished and in the dumpster with the rest of the garbage.

I think he's long past his shelf life. However were I the Texans or Bears I'd consider signing him since my present QBs really suck.

In my perfect fantasy world, he'd go to the Jets. :D

He's good at finding the open man (on either team).

You beat me to it. I was going to say, "...anyone with a jersey number in the 20's or 50's (or 90's.... he likes to spread it around)".

Contract for 2011 is a little over $5 million so a team making a waiver claim would pick up the pro-rata share of that - about $1.5 million. Bears (7-4) would have priority over the Texans. Early reports are that the Texans are up against the cap and will not make a waiver claim.
