6.5 sacks in 3 games........uhhhh, why can't we get guys like that.

to draft butler and brace, then draft cunningham the following year.....someone had to have had their heads up their asses on the way this worked out.....the entire world saw the fit......only to wind up making other picks that have been so bad, that the pats had to change their defensive scheme

Be a Texans fan. Problem solved.

Whilst I wanted Barwin, you really think we changed our scheme because of bad draft picks?!

Ha ha!

And to add insult to injury, TBC is still a street free agent when you correctly pointed out that Andre Carter and Mark Anderson are clear downgrades from him and they bring nothing to the defense.

Seriously, after your endless rants about Carter and Anderson being downgrades to TBC, I figured we would have heard the last of you after you looked foolish on those.

BTW, Barwin got 4 of his sacks against Jacksonville which is has given up 32 sacks this season (tied for 6th most). Carter got 4 sacks vs. the Jets who have given up 6 less sacks this season.

We can't rewrite the past we just have to move on with what we got. P.s. Devin McCourty - *Rob Gronkowski* - Nate Soldier - Pat Chung A.Hernandez are some Great Picks. Definitely need a young Pass Rusher or Rusher's via the Draft or FA. *Rob Gronkowski is the Best Patriot Draft pick since Brady - Seymour and Wilfork*

He's been hurt this year. But, Sebastian Vollmer was a very good pick. Only a late 2nd rounder. Played a bit his rookie year. Last year he played at an all-pro level. Hope he gets healthy. I'm sure we haven't heard the last from Seabass. Before he got hurt Sunday, he was abusing Jason Babin.

BTW, if Barwin was such a slam dunk, why was he a mid second round pick?

Yeah the injury have slowed him some but i think it's night and day between Vollmer and Nate Slodier. I think Nate Slodier is a superior prospect and will not relinquish the RT position if healthy.

LOL.......last year's defense is still better than this year's defense.....as for carter, he's had his moments, but 8 of his sacks came in 3 games....what about the other 8?

So sick of these posts.

How many players have we seen come into our team after being successful elsewhere and struggle here?

Just because someone excels in another system does not mean he will excel in ours.

Would Barwin have been able to execute the way he has with the responsibilities he would have had here? Would he have been able to learn and execute our defense? Would he have had the right mindset to handle how he would be used here? Were there behavioral red flags that came up during pre-draft interviews?

Until you know the answer to these questions I think you should throttle back the self-righteous BS about who we did or did not draft.

We really needed another thread to lament how occasionally other team's draft picks end up turning into good players.

Oh, and Clay Matthews!

not sure......but again.....brace and butler.....neither has done squat.....and then cunningham in the 2nd round......think about it

10 of Demarcus Ware's 14 sacks came in 4 games.

I have finally gotten over not Drafting Clay Matthews...Rob Gronkowski > Clay Matthews that pick cements it for me.

Thanks for reminding me why I added you to my ignore list in the first place. Cheers!

HA HA!!!!

yes.....it certainly has something to do with it when you grab 2 4-3 DEs off of someone else scrap heap and change your schem because you didn't pursue the OLB's you could have had in the draft because you picked fat slobs and others

thinking about barwin anf reed instead of butler and dowling......yep.....sounds about right
