With the sifning of Sullivan for 07..I wondered about some of the NFLE injured players and what becomes of them?? Thinking about Bubba and his possibility in 07. I know he was injured..had theshoulder injury and out, but will he be in camp?? Will he be a possibility for the PSqd?? Always thought he might be a player..but just wondered about this limbo.....ALA RB Charles and WR Z Smith..the more the....

My toes are crossed.

Patriots like to send a few players to NFL Europe each year, pick up som players now send them over and let them play - a favor to the league so the Ref's will let us win again, that's all Krafty is doing

I talked to him last week and said his shoulder feels good and he is ready to go. Said he wants to stay with the Patriots and wants to take his shot at making the roster next year. Said he should find out soon if the Pats would like him to go back to Europe or just stick around New England for mini camps and stuff. Said he might get more time in the preseason this year as well. But unless they decide to release him, he should be back in the Pats camp this year.

My toes are still crossed! Hope to see "Bubba" on the roster soon.

That is great news!! Thanks!! He was my pick to make it twio years ago...when he was on the PSqd..an dmany thought he had a good shot at it...and then Europe and the injury. The Pats I think really like this guy..know how hard he can hit....Thanks!!!! Great attitude and..I hope can contribute!!

Poor Bubba, like Dexter Reid before him, is too small for SS and too slow for FS. If everyone on the 53 , plus those on IR, return, then I see no place for the guy. In fact, if Bubba is on next year's 53, then our Safety corps will not be where it needs to be.

I know that I am bias and would not claim to be. But Bubba runs a legit 4.4. I wouldnt say that is slow. What makes you think he is slow?

If he runs a legit 4.4, then that is certainly not slow. Somehow, I was under the impression that his 40 was around 4.55. Do you think, then, that Bubba can be a legit FS, and not just some ST-only guy?

To be honest with you, I do believe that the Pats like him as far as his potential. He may never be a starting safety but from what I understand, they like him enough to keep him around through his injury and at least want to give him a shot durring camp to stick on the roster. His size is his biggest disadvantage. Some people can overcome that and some cant. But his speed and hitting are very good, so if he gets more comfortable defending passes then the Pats will give him a shot.

The more quality candidates, the better the TC competition, and the better the depth. Nothing wrong with that.

Good luck, Bubba. Who knows, maybe this will allow Geno to return to CB, where he belongs.

I agree..the more the merrier...I always thought he might have it..problems is he needs to stay healthy...
