Re: Adams released

Does this mean Ventrone is back?

Or could it be TO?

Re: Adams released

I didn't put him in my scrubbendary thread poll becasue I had a feeling he was not going to last.....looks about right.

Re: Adams released

Why is it a surprise? Edelman (a WR) is better than Adams. This was coming eventually.

Re: Adams released

In BB I trust. Obviously not an expert, but i thought he was much smoother than Molden. Of course, attitude and practice habits count too. I wonder if he's important enough to have any writers give a reason? I'm really surprised.

Re: Adams released

Just to get it out of the way, this makes room for Randy Moss so the Patriots can stretch the field against the Colts.

Re: Adams released

This is like 2004 with the CBs all over again. Unfortunately, we're also getting hammered the same way at safety. Damn it, Beavis...

Re: Adams released

But why?

Re: Adams released

Something Big is coming, I can feel it. Someone is getting signed and this will generate a lot of attention again. I can feeling it coming in the air tonig....

Re: Adams released

I take it Edelman is a permanent CB now considering we only have 3 on the roster? (Arrington, Mccourty, Molden)

Maybe Moore will play more time there but I've liked him at safety.

Re: Adams released

Adams is not PS eligible so this cut is permanent.

Re: Adams released

Hopefully this is due to McCourty and Chung being ready to return, moving Sterling Moore to a flex FS/CB role, and making Adams' roster spot better spent on depth at LB, until Spikes and Fletcher can return.

Re: Adams released

What would a week be without a transaction?

Re: Adams released

I don't expect there is anything else happening. Don't see this as performance based. First, he looked pretty good playing >50 snaps against the Eagles. Second, players like Brown have had reduced snaps due to performance, but not outright release. Performance makes no sense. Coaches detected a serious or uncorrectable defect in the man. Going forward, Edelman slides into the slot and Underwood fills in at WR. CB is even thinner than before, but perhaps McCourty and Chung are returning soon.

Re: Adams released

In BB i dont trust.Listen he is a great coach but he has too many responsibilities.I would welcome a new defensive coordinator next year. This defense just stinks! You can say well they give up alot of garbage yards but that wont cut it.You need to be able to get stops once the playoffs occur. This offense has to be great in order to win games.

Re: Adams released

I think Adams returns to the shadow roster. Dont forget he has been cut before. And I would imagine he will be resigned again this season (if an when necessary). In the meantime, it does seem to indicate the return of some injured DBs.
