You can't make this crap up. Here is what NT Sione Pouha said about the celebration:

“Us being from New York, we like to hold ourselves to some integrity, and that airplane thing, in my opinion, was kind of a dagger considering the circumstances of remembrance of what we just had on Sept. 11,’’ Pouha said. “It was just unprofessional. We all stand for pride around here, and that’s a sacred moment for a lot of people and it’s a very sobering moment.’’

I think it is disgusting of Pouha to invoke 911 to trash Johnson for his dance. Johnson simulated and mocked Plaxico Burress shooting himself in the leg and then the Holmes' TD celebration not airplanes crashing into the World Trade Center. I find people who cry 911 in unwarranted situations just as disrespectful to 911 victims as someone who would mock the tragedy.

The only person disrespecting 911 victims is Pouha by invoking their tragedy into the situation where it wasn't warranted.

The sad thing is that when I saw it live I knew one of those idiots would play that card.

This whole thing has gotten out of hand, Smith should have never apologised for his celebration. So he mocked Plexiglass and Holmes, i didn't know what he was doing until it hit the news. Then Pouha trying to tie it to 911 is disgusting, but shows how tastless and classless the rats are. Of course we already knew this, but this just reinforces it. Pouha's an Ass........Us being from New York, we like to hold ourselves to some integrity, and that airplane thing, in my opinion, was kind of a dagger considering the circumstances of remembrance of what we just had on Sept. 11,” Pouha said. “It was just unprofessional. Integrity, and Pride :rofl::rofl:

When I first saw it I didn't catch the Plex part of it, I thought he was just mocking Holmes with the plane crash which was hilarious.

Absurd. Jet, J-e-t-s, airplane. Your team is crashing and burning. You suck and we are going to beat you. Where in the world did they come up with a Jet crashing into a building? Delusional fan base.

While JEST fans are delusional, this idiot was a player. . . .

So its OK when Santonio Holmes does it?

Nothing makes me laugh more when someone gets upset when someone else imitates their dance. Talk about taking yourself too seriously.

For the life of me I can't figure out why what Stevie Johnson did was wrong but what Santonio Holmes does every time he scores a TD is OK. The NFL is entertainment. These guys are entertainers. If they want to do some ridiculous crap after scoring a TD, let them do it. If you don't want them doing ridiculous crap after scoring a TD, don't let any of them do it. The inconsistency is frustrating.

You nailed it.

Why didn't a reporter that was there ask Pouha if his first thoughts are about 911 whenever Holmes celebrates a touchdown as well?

If you're going to have a choreographed, pre-planned trademark touchdown celebration, then expect and be prepared for opponents to mock it when they score. If that is going to bother you then don't have a signature celebration; just use an old-fashioned generic one.

Or better yet, just do what Barry Sanders would do when he scored one of his 110 touchdowns: hand the ball to the ref and jog back to the bench.

Not sure where to begin commenting on the absurdity of this guy's comments. Just proof positive that some people from NY really do believe in their own divinity based upon...where they freakin' live!!!

Pouha....come on man, don't be pathetic. That's been happening a lot in society lately...if someone dosen't like something they search for a generally accepted reason to plea their case. Grow up, you are acting like a child and ironically disrespecting the firefighters, policeman, grandmothers/grandfathers, fathers and wives and many others that really did have to deal with that day....not you ya punk.

On another note I have no problem whatsoever with Plax...he is a good player. Hell if we had him I'd be throwing that fad 5 times out of ten in the red zone. He dosen't showboat or taunt at all. No problem with him.

Stevie Johnson? Don't get the move. What is the point? For fun? Who's fun? I thought it was just kind of stupid really, and in the end karma caught up with him on that drop. Playing the game, being accountable, winning now that is fun. Not the me me me stuff. Just another case of more immaturity...

That actually made my skin crawl

what a F#$%^ing, $%^er, piece of $%^&ing trash

He also said that Wes Welker's comments last year was insensitive to people who are victims of tinea pedis.

No one every claimed that football players were intelligent. and, a Jets player is criticizing someone for being insensitive, that's just funny.

Stevie was only making fun of their stupid victory pose, and I honestly I thought it was hilarious. and I'm from New York

When I saw "the plane" go down, I thought he was indicating that with :bricks: Rex Ryan on board, the Jets couldn't get off the ground.

I heard Scottish people got upset with Johnson because he was simulating the Lockerbie plane bombing from the 80's.

The only person disrespecting 911 victims is Pouha by invoking their tragedy into the situation where it wasn't warranted.
This perfectly states how I felt when I read the comments. Johnson's a jackass who hurt his own team, but it had nothing to do with 9/11 until Pouha brought it up.

This might be one of the dumbest things I've ever heard any athlete try to make a complaint about. That dance had nothing to do with 9/11 at all and the guy should be ashamed for even trying to correlate the two.
