What he did last night was incredible....5 tds, 363 yards....and just humiliated the gints. On pace (with Brady and rodgers) to annihilate Marino's yard record for season....my hat is off to him. Of course it helps that he has so many weapons.....and sproles looks like woodhead on speed! Just had to recognize some amazing QB play last night.....and especially in the face of goober and Tom "the mole" Coughlin.....

Missed the game, caught the replay. Brees looked epic

The past decade it was pretty much all about Brady vs Manning. Now it's a 3 way battle minus manning with rodgers leading the pac this season. Brees is such a big game QB, fun to watch. Here's a look at stats for the top 3 QBs in the league for kicks. Hats off

Threw 11 games

Brees 70.2%Comp 3689YDs 27TDs 11INTs 103.6rtng

Brady 65.8%Comp 3627YDs 28TDs 10INTs 105.1rtng

Rodgers 71.8%Comp 3475YDs 33TDs 4INTs 127.7rtng

Brees is awesome, but it's kinda hard not to be when you have Colston, Meachem, Henderson, Moore, Graham, Sproles, Ingram, Thomas, Ivory and you play at least half your games in a dome.

Hey thanks Rob....appreciate the stats here. I thought more patsfans would have commented on last night's achievements by Brees....just an epic performance.

I have no problem cheering for Brees...now if this was Rottenburger, or Sancheese or some other QB I despise....I wouldn't recognize it!!! But Brees is a class act and deserves the recognition....I think what Brady is doing (AGAIN) this year is more impressive than what Brees is doing....simply because of personnel. Look at ALL the weapons Brees has to go to....it is unreal. Also his OL is solid....you don't see him on his a## every other play....he has alot of time to get it done. Thanks again Rob.....

One of the things I always hear from Saints fans is that Brees doesnt get the time in the pocket Brady gets, which I've never thought was true but it's not worth the argument. In the games against the Giants its no comparison, Brady was harassed all game and Brees had time on most of his throws.

Brees is one of the top QB's in the game, without a doubt.

He's a classy guy, and I do root for him and the Saints to dethrone the Packers in the NFC.

One small nit-pick though, he threw for 4 TD's last night, not 5.

That might be because the only good DE the Giants had healthy the whole night was JPP.

He ran for one also.

The eye test shows me that the top 3 in the league are Brady, Brees, then Rogders

Dammint, look at those weapons around him

I love me some Brees but given the tangibles, I'm more impressed with both #12 s since they play in a open field prone to elements.

I love our own #12 even more while looking at the talent he has around him when compared to others.

Is there a way we can snatch a couple of WRs from that group next year ?

On 2011 form it's Rodgers - Brady -- Brees.

The first two play outside.

Not to mention in the NFC...where two of the three shine. Just sayin, the gap may be closing but for a long time there has been a decided competitive difference in which conference you ply your trade...

Agree with all but the dethroning of the Packers. I am hoping we get to do that in the SB. :)

no problem,

Huge fan of great quarterbacking, especially energetic ones like Brady and Brees. Drew's a beast, not sure who I'd wanna face in an SB if I had the choice him or Rodgers.

That lame Championship belt celebration might cause me to chuck my TV out the window.lol.

When did Qualcomm stadium get a dome installed?

weapons, weapons, everybody is talking about weapons.

is it the weapon or the shooter that makes the weapon good?

Just like Branch-Brady; a bunch of these guys wouldn't be able to replicate this success in another team.

What does Qualcomm have to do with Drew Brees? Aside from a very good season in his fourth year in the league, he was pretty much average with the Chargers. Oh, and Qualcomm might as well be a dome. Playing in San Diego means no adverse weather conditions throughout the season.

And of course everybody is talking about weapons. Who does Brady have of above average talent, aside from Welker, Gronk and Hernandez? The Saints are loaded with young, physically gifted playmakers, this is undisputable.

Would those guys be as good without Drew Brees? Probably not. Are they SIGNIFICANTLY better than what Tom Brady has to work with in both quality and quantity? Without a shadow of a doubt.

Qualcomm has a naturally occurring atmospheric dome...and his real statistical success has come in NO in case you hadn't noticed...

Seriously, I'm pretty sure I could go out and throw for those kind of numbers if I were in Brees' shoes. I've got all the tools, plus a couple inches on him in height.

I stand here as a wrarning to others. Dont DRINK & POST. :bricks:

fully distracted at work and not sure what I was thinking/typing.

That was fun :) always great to see Brees in prime time.
I don't know why they are say this. Our OL did have problems , like vs the Rams, getting on the same page. I think Brees spoke to that, but we are all very much aware of the great job Micky Lumas, and Sean have done suppling Brees with the 1-5# OL for years and the weapons he has to play with.
You have to be good to take advantage of what he has. I mean you can't plug Eli into our system and he would do as well. But it does give him an edge over most teams. Brady would kill with what we have on offense.
Not that we have anyone better than welker or Gronk, its just our depth of talent on offense is really good. I do think that Brees also makes our OL look that good with his really excellent foot work in the pocket.
The Giants were pretty banged up also last night.
