With both Branch and Ochocinco listed as questionable I was thinking we could see a lot of Taylor Price. I am looking forward to seeing him and hope he can prove an impactful downfield threat. Our team has really lacked a guy who can get behind the defense and it would be a great addition if our third round pick of a season ago could prove to be that guy. He flashed a lot of ability in the preseason; however, has been plagued by injury and buried on the depth chart.

how much i want to see one of ocho, price, or slater kick ass this season...

i dont really care which one, i just need to see one go for 6+ receptions, 100+ yards, and a TD or two....while showing some good moves, and running from short to medium to long routes (specifically long routes though)

i want a torrey smith damn it

You want a waste of a down? Why? Smith couldn't catch a cold if he tried.

Price is merely a figment of our imagination until proven otherwise!

Smith didn't really play until the bye week this season for the Ravens. His best games include.
5 Rec, 152 yrds, 3 TD's.
3 Rec, 82 yrds.
5 Rec, 71 yrds, 1 TD.
6 Rec, 165 yrds,1 TD
Not bad for a rookie earning playing time this year. If we had a threat like that on the outside our offense would be much better. I'm hoping Price could give us a deep threat.

yep, ive said it for awhile. we need either Ochocinco or Taylor Price to develop into a productive receiver for us to be successful going forward.

We need OL protection to throw downfield. I'd rather see us shorten it up and go with quick throws.

The idea of Branch and Ocho both missing the game makes me excited. I feel unpatriotic. lol.

If they have to miss a game I wish it were against a team that has 0 offense like the Bronco's, just incase we can't get our offense going. I don't want to experiment with Price or Slater against a team that can potentially put up points.

Somewhere deep down i want to see kid and play catch a bomb sunday.

This time of year what will make me most happen is to fine tune the running game. it has been a bit off lately ... partly due to injury but I'm thinking a bit more ... just a bit more emphasis on it this weekend.

Tell me about it. BB has buried Price long enough, we need help outside the hashes, let's see if Price can duplicate the promise he showed us in the pre-season.

YAC and the ability to gain yardage after contact is something we can get from Taylor and he just needs a chance. Let's hope that chance comes Sunday, because we're not going anywhere against a good defense with a good game plan with what we have out there now.

I hope so. Last week, our WR caught 4 balls.

the thing is, as much as I love branch, he isnt that good against press/man to man coverage. he tends to dissapear at times in the offense.

you saw it against the Jets in the playoffs and other teams this year who shut down branch in tight man to man and limited our offense.

someone who can beat their man in man to man coverage is someone that is needed in the offense. these injuries may be a blessing in disquise if Price can go out there and show that he is capable.

someone with his speed and athleticism would really add another dynamic to our passing offense.

Last time he was scheduled to impact the game plan his speed and athleticism didn't make it thru a Saturday walk through...

Torrey Smith is good. And you know it.

I know he has potential. As it stands now though, he's just another fast guy who can't catch and only runs a handful of routes. That's about it.

He's about as inconsistent as Tate was for us, if he was on our team people would be crying for his head because of all his dropped balls that probably should have been touchdowns, but since he's made a big play here and there for another team he's turned into a "I can't believe we wasted a pick on a DB for IR and 3rd and 5th string running back when we could have had this guy. BB sucks at draftng" kind of guy.

This forum is bi-polar when it comes to these guys.

Smith is a pure rookie, has played in just 11 games, and he already has more catches than Tate has to this point in his 3 year career. Tate has a grand total of 24 NFL catches and 3 receiving TDs, to date. Smith has 31 receptions and 5 TDs in 11 games and is averaging just under 20 yards per catch, and that's with Flacco throwing him the ball.

If Smith was on the Patriots, people here would be composing haikus in his honor.

if this is your true opinion, you must not have seen many ravens games this year

if you have seen ravens games, you dont know what you are talking about

at the start of the season Mike Wallace was the best deep threat in the league, by the end of the year a rookie in Smith may have that distinction or share it.....THAT is impressive

if we had a guy 75% as good as those two, we would have a very legitimate deep threat
