same to everyone on here..will be a slow day for me..not much going on..oh well..at least there is football on

Happy Thanksgiving to you all! Also, as lame as this is going to sound I think that given we all are Patriots fans we have something to be thankful for together. I think that too often we get caught up in championship expectations, as that is what should be demanded of such a great organization. However, I think that it is also important to recognize how lucky we all have been to experience the reign of this coach, the greatest ever to coach the game. While not without his flaws, he has given us as fans the greatest franchise of the past decade. I think that we all agree that he is the best in the world at his job, but he also elevated the expectations of all teams within this market. This team has not only educated all of us so much, but has provided a constantly evolving, hyper interesting story to follow season by season. There aren't many fan bases who have had the opportunity to experience such total mastery of the sport. From developing coaches, to developing so many great players, to the triumphant highs and soul crushing lows. It has been a great ride for all of us these past ten years. I think that too often we become overly obsessed with championships, and rightfully so, but in the spirit of the holiday we have so much to be appreciative of. Enjoy it, everyone, because it won't last forever.

Yes, sports in ultimately inconsequental, and I know that all of our lives have given us something far more tangible to be thankful for but this team, this coach, and this organization have given us a lot.

Yes!

It's dead simple. If football gives you pleasure, be thankful. And, if it doesn't, what are you doing watching and worrying about it?

Like Jay, though, I hope you all have lots, lots more to be thankful for and wish you a great day.

:rocker:

A happy Thanksgiving to you all and shall we hope for A great meal with family and friends PLUS.....

A Lions beat down of the Packers who want to duplicate our perfect regular season of 2007.......

A Dolphins upset of the Cowboys as they climb up the cellar of the East closer to the Jets and MOST IMPORTANT .....

An annihilation of the Ravens by Gore and the 49ers later in the evening :rocker:

Happy Thanksgiving everyone!

Looking forward to the cooking of 2 birds this week. ;) Go Pats.

It will be a small affair at my house this year: Just me an one of my daughters and my son. I'm thankful for many things this year, even though financially we're in a mess. We're together, we have a roof over our heads, there's food on the table and we can eat and watch football. That's more than a lot of folks have, and that's something to consider.

I am also thankful to be living in New England's Golden Era: Consistently competitive, a great owner, coach, and QB. A wonderful record for over a decade. I'm thankful for being able to witness this, especially after the tribulations of the 70's, 80's & 90's.

I'm thankful for a fan base, and especially for this board, with a consistently solid core of posters, and a high level of quality postings. Heck, we even seem to attract a better quality of trolls. :singing:

But above all, my best wishes to everyone here. Thanks for making this board a great place to visit and to hang out at. It's always a highlight of my day.

A lot of people's finances are in a mess these days. You're putting a roof over your kids heads and food on their plate. As a man that's something to be proud of. They know they're safe and that on this arbitrary piece of dirt can be whatever they want to be if they apply themselves. They also probably know that a lot of good men gave their lives so that they could have that. That alone is a lot to be thankful for. Happy Thanksgiving, man.

Happy Thanksgiving to all...

I find it a pleasure to be able to gain and experience so much football knowledge by so many on this forum, and have enjoyed many great discussions over the yrs.

Thank you.

Wishing you all good food, good family and good football tomorrow!! Happy Turkey Day everyone!!

Indeed. Happy Thanksgiving to all my fellow Patriot fans. Between all of the "made of glass" and "this defense sucks" threads over the course of the season........... we all truly have MUCH to be thankful for.

I am still waiting for my truducken. Been wanting it for the last 5 years.

I would love to try the turducken from the Dos Equis radio ads . . .

His Turducken consists of a duck inside a chicken inside a turkey . . . back inside the original duck.

:D

Happy Thanksgiving to all!!:)

We have so much to be thankful for in this country, so much we take for granted.
As Pats fans it wasn't that long ago we were known to the NFL as the "Patsies".
There were plenty of reasons we had the 1st draft pick to draft Bledsoe.

While we complain about politicians, in other countries we'd be killed for it, or for practicing the wrong religion. The faucet water that's not quite good enough for most of us to drink, most of the world would kill for.

Sorry for preaching, but I love Lee Greenwood's song "God Bless the USA" & I thank God I was born in this country.

HAPPY THANKSGIVING TO ALL !!!:singing::singing::singing::singing:

Happy thanks giving all!!!

Much appreciation for the time, effort, insight and knowledge people take to write informative posts.

There's not many pats fans in OR(if any) I watch most games via skype with my family back east juggling the game day threads on a second PC. My football genius is comparable to Curtis Painters QB skills so I'm only good for a "woo hoo" now and again.

Wish I found this site earlier, 18 years being a pats fan 14 being spent in an NFLess town makes you feel disconnected.

let's hope the "dream team" stays a dream not a reality this weekend.

Eat well and thanks again.:)

I hope you all have someone to share Thanksgiving with. Football and a home cooked meal...you can't beat that with a stick. :eat3:

And a special thanks to all the American men and women serving in our military and away from their families.
