Bills send RB Jackson to I.R. with broken leg

Bills placed RB Fred Jackson on injured reserve with a fracture to his fibula, ending his season.
That was quick. We were surprised when Jackson was ruled out for Week 12 just four hours ago, and now his season is over. It's incredibly bad luck for the No. 3 overall fantasy back through the season's first ten games. Jackson was hoping for a raise after his breakout year. Instead, he's now more likely to have to play out the 2012 season for his $1.83 million scheduled salary. Fantasy owners that were quick to pluck C.J. Spiller off waivers today now have themselves a starting NFL running back. We'll see how long it lasts.

they just brought in Choice for a RB, hardly an adequate replacement. Jackson was a special player.


Huge loss. The Jets would have won this week anyway... this injury nullifies an upset imo.

Miami... is going to annihilate the Bills... hopefully Miami's Momentum doesn't give them enough swagger to beat us at home in the second to last game

Just heard this; what a loss. Guy is a beast. Seems like he only used to have big games against the Patriots but he's really been busting out. Wish he could have waited another week.

On a different subject: I like the idea of the board having an explanation point icon. Could come in very handy.

F Jackson is one of my favorite non Patriots, shame to hear that I hope he has a good recovery.

This is Spiller's chance to show why he was a high draft pick. He was a beast in college hasn't shown in the pros yet, except on ST's.

Have you watched Choice play this season? That's akin to replacing Tom Brady with Mark Sanchez.

Choice isn't replacing Jackson - he's replacing Spiller.

Spiller is pretty close to Fred in style & effort. There may not be as much dropoff as people think.

Spiller is not even close Jackson. I wouldn't be surprised to see Choice starting by years end.
