There is a thread on jetsinsider comparing bb& rex. Although most concede to Bill, there is a consensus that BB is nothing without Brady.

Since they don't appreciate the truth on that website, I've been banned! So, I wanted to offer my 2 cents here.

For some reason Jet fans forget that BB was there defensive coordinator, When he took over that position Bledsoe's stats and career were on a HOF trajectory that was derailed by Belichick'S blueprint.

I don't believe the same could be said about Rex's gameplans. He has some success but I believe bb countered correctly.

as the man said "37 pts on the number 1 defense, s$#k my d$&k!"

There really is no comparison.

BB has five rings two as DC and 3 as HC.

Rex has one as a Dline assistant.

The only thing Rex is better than BB at is being a loud Mouth.

1) First off, they are Jets fans, so who F$#king cares what they think.

2) On the larger point. He's certainly not "nothing", but there is no denying Belichick's career has certainly benefited greatly from having someone like TFB at the helm. There really isn't much denying that. At the same time, TFB has benefited equally by having BB as his coach.

The two will forever be linked to each other and will often be mentioned in the same sentence when discussing the greatness of the other player. Each are great separately, but lets face it. Together, they have reach legendary status.

There is no shame in that and it doesn't take anything away from the other by saying it.

As we like to say around here. It is what it is.

I gotta agree, but as others have stated b4. Just imagine being a jets fan, having belechick kick you in the balls when they tried to slide him to hc due to the pats firing Petey Carroll and faxing a request for permission to speak with BB
I can't blame him for not wanting to coach for Leon Hess, being tunas puppet, and growing up a Gmen fan ,knowing how pathetic a franchise the green beans can be.

His heart was not with the Jets. Lord I ALMOST feel bad for them:bricks:

Any Jets fan who says they wouldn't straight up trade Ryan for Belichick is lying. If Belichick became the coach of the Jets, they'd be fielding a competitive team every year by his third season. This is the third season for Ryan and it looks like they're actually going backwards.

Each had careers in this league as assistants and DC and BBs is much better than Ryans too and TB would have nothing to do with that.

Ryan is a good coach BB is one of the two or three best ever there really is no comparison and not even TB can bridge the gap.

First of all, don't sweat being banned over there. There is one moderator who is drunk with power who bans people who peiss him off even if they did nothing to warant it. All due respect to our moderators who are pretty level headed, but if you give a shut-in loser some power and hide him behind the anomonimity of the Internet and they get drunk with power.

Second, does anyone really know what type of a head coach Ryan truly is yet? He is finally molding the team in his image with his players while shedding a lot of the Mangini hold overs (Woody, Jenkins, etc.). This is when you find out what type of coach he truly is. I mean Jon Gruden won a Super Bowl with Tony Dungy's players and then watched the team fall apart when he added his type of players. I still question Ryan's ability to manage an entire team and his in game decisions.

Third, the Jets will argue in circles to discredit Belichick and Brady. Belichick is a product of Brady, but Brady is a system QB.

Actually Leon Hess had died. BB was unsure of the new ownership and did not want to be "Modell'ed" again.

Had Hess lived, history may have been quite different, although BB did have a very good relationship with Bob Kraft.

I remember that when the team came home from the Packers SB, BB and Bob sitting in a car talking for a long time. I thought that BB would be named HC, but Bob went a different direction at that time. Or BB turned him down because Bob wanted to try a different managment model at that time. Only they know for sure.

Let's face it. Belichick was a pawn in a screw job by Parcells to Kraft. Kraft asked for permission to talk to Belichick for the head coach job and GM which basically prompted Parcells to retire from coaching to make Belichick the head coach with Parcells shopping for the groceries as GM (ironic since it was a similiar situation that prompted Parcells to bolt to the Jets). So basically, Parcells was going to maintain control while Belichick would be his puppet.

That said, you are right about Hess already have passed away before Belichick left. Granted, that was a bone of contention with Jets fans because Hess gave Belichick a million dollars to stay with the Jets and become the heir apparent a year earlier and they feel that Belichick didn't honor that commitment although I don't think that committment came with the prospect of Parcells running everything other than the gameday play calling.

Sanchez is nothing with Rex, o wai

Here's what haters say.

- Brady sucks. He's only good cos of Belichick.

- Belichick sucks. He's only good cos of Brady and spygate.

Those who know better or have actually play in the league know that football is the ultimate team sport, unlike basketball. Even the combination of Shula and Marino didn't win anything, but they were awesome individuals. And you can't really convince a hater. A hater hates. You can't have a good discussion with a hater.

We can't see it anymore. I think that means he's banned.

FWIW, getting banned doesn't get your posts deleted, unless you're a rude or tactless or obvious troll.

To whichever mod took that time: :youtheman:

Future HOF head coach and future HOF quaterback, both going intothe hall on roller skates. What do the YRTS fans have to show in this regard? 'Nuf said.

There is a thread on jetsinsider comparing bb& rex. Although most concede to Bill, there is a consensus that BB is nothing without Brady.

My experience with how opposing fans view individual parts of the Pats goes something like this:

Compliment BB the HC, and it used to be it was all Crenel and Weis, because Cleveland is 'proof' he is not a good coach
Then he kept winning, so BB was chastised for Crenel and Weis not winning - like that was some sort of proof that he didn't do a good job as HC

Compliment BB the HC, and the response is no, it's all Brady
Compliment Brady, and it's all the defense or the OL
Compliment the OL or the defense, and they're all JAGs
Compliment Brady, and it's all BB

Basically it just keeps going around in circles; if anybody compliments any member of the Patriot organization then they are ball-washers that are not being objective and incorrect in their unworthy opinion; the Pats winning has to be due to some other factor. Compliment another person and the cycle of dismissing that favorable review starts all over again. It's just too much for them to bear to admit that someone on a rival team is good at what he does.

Rex leads BB in the areas that are difficult to measure; bombasity, swearing at fans, praising juvenile quarterbacks, eating snacks and feet...
