Week 12 Games

Patriots (7-3) at Eagles (4-6) 4:15PM ET,

I hope you know why.

Bills (5-5) at Jets (5-5) 1:00PM ET,

Neither team is a real risk, but it is your patriotic duty to hate the Jets.

Dolphins (3-7) at Cowboys (6-4) thur 4:15PM ET,

Dolphins are even less of a risk, but they are rivals. Plus pipedream: Saints lose a bunch and even miss as a wildcard.

49ers (9-1) at Ravens (7-3) Thur 8:20PM ET,

We tie the Ravens in the race for homefield/byes etc.

Texans (7-3) at Jaguars (3-7) 1:00PM ET,

Same with Texans.

Steelers (7-3) at Chiefs (4-6) 8:20PM ET,

We also tie the Steelers and the Steelers have the tiebreaker.

Giants (6-4) at Saints (7-3) MNF 8:30PM ET,

We have the Saints first round pick.

Packers (10-0) at Lions (7-3) Thur 12:30PM ET,

NE should be the only 16-0 team.

Bears (7-3) at Raiders (6-4) 4:05PM ET,

And the Raiders second.

Vikings (2-8) at Falcons (6-4) 1:00PM ET,

Falcons represent our best chance at keeping the Saints from winning the division.

Broncos (5-5) at Chargers (4-6) 4:15PM ET,

Bronco's represent our best chance at keeping Oakland out of the playoffs.

Browns (4-6) at Bengals (6-4) 1:00PM ET,

Bengals represent a small risk for byes/homefield Browns do not.

Buccaneers (4-6) at Titans (5-5) 1:00PM ET, buy tix
Cardinals (3-7) at Rams (2-8) 1:00PM ET, buy tix
Panthers (2-8) at Colts (0-10) 1:00PM ET, buy tix
Redskins (3-7) at Seahawks (4-6) 4:05PM ET, buy tix

These games four games are pretty much irrelevent to NE.

The only one I want i want to add is root for the colts I know it's shocking to say that but I hate that they are Sucking for luck and I want it to backfire so badly so I am rooting for them every game hte rest of the way except one of course I just think it would be funny if they stumbled into wins

Broncos, Bengals and Titans also represent the best chances to send the Jets golfing during the playoffs.

I'll also root for the Titans. They still have a slight chance at messing up our playoff seeding.

Last week's rules apply even with a two-game lead in the AFC East. The Bills vs. Jets is an interesting one and sadly I have to root for Rex and the Jets to hand the Bills a critical 4th loss in the AFC and 3rd loss in the Division.

As unlikely as it might seem, the Pats and Bills, or Jets and Pats could end up tied. The Patriots own the head-to-head over the Jets 2-0. The Bills could beat the Patriots in week 17 and they would own the head to head against the Pats. If the Patriots beat the Bills and they tie at 1-1 head to head, it goes to conference results and right now the Bills have 3 losses in the AFC while the Jets have 5 losses in the AFC.

So, it is J-E-T-S, Jets! Jets! Jets!

Root for Ravens against SF

We want Balt to take 1st place in their Division over Steelers and Bengals.

Sorry, but any loss for a team vying for the #1 seed w/ NE is a good thing and I have a real hard time rooting for any team that T. Suggs is on. GO SF!

Re: Root for Ravens against SF

No can do.

Re: Root for Ravens against SF

I'm not rooting for either team, but this will be a good AFC vs. NFC measuring stick.

Re: Root for Ravens against SF

Couldn't disagree more.

Anything that can help the Pats get the #1 seed at 12--4 (which is where I think the Pats end up one way or the other) takes priority over any fantasized preference to face Baltimore in the Playoffs.

Let's get into the Playoffs as high up as possible first and then cross the bridges of the teams we have to play when we get to them. We had plenty of trouble with the Ravens two years ago, in Foxboro, as I recall. ;)

Why do 'we' want that?

Lets say Baltimore sees us in the AFCCG, they are the best home team so far and suck on the road, we want them as a wild card in that case.

Re: Root for Ravens against SF

We already have a thread dedicated to who to root for on games not including NE.

http://www.patsfans.com/new-england-patriots/messageboard/10/852434-who-root-week-12-a.html

And you're logic makes no sense. If the Raven's win out they get the #1 seed, not us. No benifit to us for them instead of the Steelers winning the division. Only way we get the #1 seed is for both teams to end the season with worse records then us.

Re: Root for Ravens against SF

No thanks....

Re: Root for Ravens against SF

yeah how bout no scott

Re: Root for Ravens against SF

If it was crystal clear that that a Ravens win would help the Pats, I'd root for the Ravens all day long. On Nov 24? Too early to root for those cretins.

Good thought though.

Re: Root for Ravens against SF

being that both me and my wifes second fav team is the 49ers and the fact that i hate the ravens thats just not going to happen

Re: Root for Ravens against SF

Just can't do it. Sorry.

Re: Root for Ravens against SF

No way, go S.F.

Re: Root for Ravens against SF

Not a chance go SF. After last year roorting for the Jets, who I hate more than any team, to beat Indy because it should have been an easier game. If we get in we just have to beat the team across the field.

Disagreements:
Dolphins over Cowboys. Lower their draft pick!
Chargers over Broncos. You fear Oakland in the playoffs? Why? Screw Tebow.
Bengals over Browns. Cloud up that division, maybe get the Steelers or Ravens out of the playoffs.
