20.3 PPG puts them at 10th in the league in points against!

Just sayin....:confused2:

Misleading stat is misleading

Not only that, the Pats have allowed less points per game than the Jets who are supposed to have a top defense. Granted they have to go against the Pats' offense twice and the Pats get to go against the Jets offense twice. Definitely not a fair trade off.

Only a fool would call the most important defensive stat in the game a "misleading" stat!

That makes zero sense!

C'mon! What are you talking about. The Pats almost lost tonight because they gave up 334 yards and only scored 380 yards. It was a real nail biter tonight.

And only a fool would call this the worst defense. It is a far better defense than people give it credit for. You take away the first month of the season and it could be a top third defense.

Don't forget Jets Fans excuse for this as well....

Mark Sanchez has thrown a lot of picks returned for TD's or set the opposing team up in the red zone. :D

Aaron Rodgers would destroy this defense in the Super Bowl. Pats better hope the Pack don't make it there

If I cherry pick stats I can make anyone look good.

I'm not trying to discredit the team. But it's not a top 10 defense.

My favorite play from today's D was the Arrington pick where

1. Ninko killed the QB
2. Moore killed the WR
3. AND LOVE JUST COMPLETELY DESTROYED SOMEONE.

And only a fool would forget that EVERY YEAR our Defense gets better towards the end of the year under BB. Also throw in the fact that they switched to a base 4-3 this year, which means there are plenty of things to learn for lots of these guys who never played in a 4-3.

Hmmm NFL.com team stats page listed by points per game says they are 10th? I didn't call them a top ten defense, they are a top 10 defense based on the most important defensive stat in the game.

What are you arguing against? Does it matter how they get it done? Do you not think that other teams benefit by playing a bad offense everyonce in a while? Or do only the Patriots play bad offenses?

You are really making yourself look foolish! Much like most threads about the defense.

Oh that is right I remember now, this game doesn't count because it was played at the Razor. Hold on someone call the NFL, this game doesn't count....:bricks:

Once again, we see the impact good coaching can make.

It's not cherry picking. It is acknowledging that they sucked the first month and have really turned it around the last six games. Tonight is not a great test for the defense, but it did build on the good stuff of last week.

Aaron Rodgers destroys most defenses.
