It seems like the majority of the NFL media are operating under the assumption that Watson and Wilfork were held out of last week's game for precautionary reasons, and will both make their returns this Sunday.

Do we have any solid information on this? They're both listed as questionable on the injury report, which tells us basically nothing. Is it possible either of the injuries are more severe than we've been lead to believe?

I think that's correct for Wilfork. His bags were packed and he was expected to play until they realized the field would be sh!t.

I'm expecting Watson to be out this week.

I don't think it makes much difference for this game.

I have a feeling that both will play, at least Wilfork 99%, Watson 50%.....

I am getting the same vibes. I'm very comfortable with our depth at both DL and TE, so I'm not so worried about either guy.

I used to worry about Wilfork, until Wright stepped up so big. He's a gamer.

With Dave Thomas' play of late, I think the same could be said for Watson.

If I had to choose, I would say that I want Wilfork back more than Watson

Agreed only because Mangold is playing very well right now

Now now. Let's not be creating any instant Karma here.

Remember, this is the super bowl for the sickly green crew.

Any given Sunday, one day at a time, stitch in time saves nine etc...............

Hmm. With as well as Wright's been playing, I wouldn't mind seeing a four man line in this game at all. Warren, Wright, Wilfork, Seymour with Vrabel, Tedy, and Colvin sounds pretty damn good to me.

Actually, I was thinking the same thing myself. They did just this back in the first matchup and dominated the LOS. NY's OL has improved quite a bit since then, but so has NE's DL, particularly Seymour and Wright.

Oddly enough it was Mike Felger that got me into thinking that. I had totally forgotten that, but he mentioned it on NEST last night. Playing a four man line would also combat Pennington's rolls as well.

The more I think about it, the more I think that NE will use a 4 man line as their primary set.

I remember it working well in the first matchup too. I'll be interested to see if it is something they deploy, and if it is, whether or not Mangini has something cooked up to counter it.

Interesting matchup, all around. I'm very excited.

For what it's worth, everyone except Rodney was at the open-to-the-media portion of practice.

Easy now...that's my shtick...

But....sh!t happens

Have a nice day!
