Great Blue: if the draft was redone

Still a ways off. No way the Patrots take an undersized HB like Drew with a round 1 pick. The Patriots like big strong backs who can punish a defense. Those little small backs they prefer on 3rd down and long.

He's tiny but he plays a lot bigger than that. Didn't take a long time in the Pats/Jax game to figure that one out.

Interesting, the Pats took two players worthy of being in the 1st round. Several other teams did as well and most made the playoffs. Chicago, Indy, New Orleans, and Jets. Others had two but still didn't make the playoffs; Carolina, Cleveland, and Houston. Some didn't have any players worthy of being in the first round.
Atlanta, coach gone,
Dallas, well they had TO
Miami, coach gone
Minnesota
Oakland, well they have???
Philly, but they don't have TO anymore.
Pittsburgh
San Fran
Seattle, but they have Deion
Washington, but they have Snyder....

minus the one fluke running play, the Patriots handled Jones-Drew pretty well, didn't they? I'd love to have the guy, but not over Lo-Mo. No way. It's early. That Joseph Addai to the jets at #5 overall is F-ing RIDICULOUS.

You obviously have not seen Drew play. There is a reason they call him a bowling ball. While Drew is 5'6+ he is almost 220 lbs of solid muscle. He is VERY hard to stop. VERY HARD.

addai is so overrated it makes me sick haha
well at least by this guy

Great job drafting 1st rounders and finding gems deep; Pats seem to misfire with their 2nd rounders more oft than not

you got that right buddy!

p.s. thanks for not sending any more personal messages telling me what to do

First off, please stop calling him Lo-Mo. Maroney prefer's Kool-Aid.

Secondly, Drew is just as dynamic as Maroney. How else to you explain the absurd number of all-purpose yards the kid has?

Lets run it down:
166 carries for 941 yards and a 5.1 YPC average.
46 receptions for 436 yards and a 9.5 YPR average.
31 Kick returns for 860 yards for a 27.7 YPR.
1 Punt return for 13 yards.

That is 2250 all-purpose yards.

And that is with playing second fiddle to Fred Taylor a majority of the season.

Now, why is Joseph Addai to the jets at #5 Ridiculous? Have you looked at what Addai accomplished?

226 carries for 1061 yards and a 4.69 YPC
40 receptions for 385 yards and a 8.1 YPR

That isn't shappy considering that he didn't win the job from Rhodes until close to the end of the season.

While Addai didn't show that he has made the Colts forget they had Edgerrin James, Addai more than showed he is capable of being a #1 RB.

Really? I thought Addai played really well this year. Still I like Maroney and dont care for any other running back. Maroney did good. He has showed many flashes of something great in the future though he has been a little inconsistent from game to game in terms of yards. Had 1 100 yard game, had a few lousy ones but he'll do better.

Oh come on now, he insists he is 5'7".

Didn't take a long time in the Pats/Jax game to figure that one out.

Take the one fluke play away and he didn't have a big game. He was shut down in the second half. Some refs would have called him down and that could not have been challenged.

Still will be a great RB if he stays healthy.

What scares me about JAX is Taylor, Drew, and Jones coming off of IR. That is potent football.

P.S. You should be thanking yourself. You finally figured out that if you didn't reply anymore that you wouldn't get them. As for telling you what to do, sorry, you are going to have to deal with it. You're not bright enough to figure it out on your own.

Actually, down by contact IS a challengable call this year.

Now, about you saying "if you take away blah blah blah", that is the same as saying if your Aunt had a beard, she'd be your uncle.

Jones-Drew made a heads up play and 2 players missed tackles on him after he got up. That was all effort on Jones-Drew's part. To take that away from him would be the equivalent of taking away Dillon's 50 yard run against the Jets and saying that they shut him down. They didn't and we didn't. However, what did happen is that the Pats stopped the Jags on 3rd down enough to force punts.

The guy weighs as much as maroney and has a lower center of gravity. as one person said, he's short not small.
