NFL Videos: Tebow's game-winning drive

First off this needs its own thread. A NYJ catastrophe is a joy forever.:)

Not OT b/c it is a HUGE deal. Jets go 5-5 lose another AFC game.

Might as well turn this into a reaction thread and a thread for how WE will deal w/ Denver. How will Mile High effect us? we have had poor success v. Shanny, but they were a much better then. How does our D stop Tebow's option crap? Is it difficult to coach against such a teAM?

Do NOT turn this into a Tim Tebow is or is not a NFL QB
debate.

No way this is OT keep it please (it's my birthday don't do me like that admins keep it plz) :)

this is more than just the drive... it is also a thread about how we should prepare.

RayRay plz come in and post... it has been far too long. I miss you, especially now.

My 1st reaction for the PATS is that we really need SPIKES back... Tebow won't pull any run crap up the middle w/ a healthy PAT LB corps.

Tebow isn't a Mike Vick Scrambler type that will BURN you w/ quickness. We can contain Tebow imo much easier than a Vick type

I remember seeing Leonhard miss the tackle on Royal on the first play and thinking to myself, "that may have made the difference between winning and losing right there", and it did. If Leonhard makes that play for a safety, that's a wrap and we're all on here *****ing about how the Broncos gave the game away. Instead, Tebow gets his own version of The Drive, with Horseface Elway there to witness it all. I loved everything about that drive and this win.

how do you think we will be able to handle Tebow and his option???

was that the Jet Run D showing its ugly face once again??? Our Run D is solid, but how do you think we will shut down Tebow?

-Obviously we need to score often... something the JESTS failed to do w/ the Sanchize in that game.- NYJ's had the ability to end that game if they did not suck on 3rd down...

How will Von Miller and Champ Bailey and the rest of the Denver D fair against our O-Line?

"Just do your job"

Get push up the middle and have Ellis starting opposite Carter and set the edge....quite simple really, the Jets did it on the most part.

All I could think about at that moment was you couldn't have a better example of the two extremes in throwing ability. Elway could throw a spiral from his own endzone through the opposite uprights, while Tebow's 10 yard curl route throws wobble to the ground like a helicopter seed :D

Tebow can out run Spikes all day any day. Spikes is slower than paint drying.

However Guyton and/or Mayo can run down Tebow all day any day.

PS: When is the last time our horrible defense allowed us to win a game when the offense only scored 17 points?

lol, yup, you could pretty much read Elway's thoughts in that closeup:

"...you gotta be ******* kidding me..."

I think the Pats will win this game on offense. The option game is irrelevant if the Broncos are trailing by two scores and their defense cannot slow down the Pats' offense enough.

I expect the Pats to employ the no huddle quite a bit just because the high altitudes will tire out the pass rush of the Broncos. I think they will be successful with quick passes. The Broncos' secondary has some big names, but Dawkins looked slow last night in coverage and will have trouble covering Welker, Gronk, or Hernandez when he is covering them. I don't think they have a CB that can shadow Welker.

On defense, I think the Pats are better matched up with the Broncos' offense than the Jets just because the Pats are typically good vs. the run and the Jets aren't. The strength of the Jets' defense is their CBs and they are neutralized in the option offense. The Pats' strength is the front four. If Spikes and Chung are back, I see the Pats having little problem slowing down an already painfully slow offense.

Spikes is very solid vs. the run and a nose for the ball. You are not giving him enough credit. Besides, Tebow has blazing speed for a QB, not a RB. He has average speed vs. most RBs. The guy ran a 4.7 in the 40, not a 4.2 or 4.3.

Yup. The Pats under BB have done a good job against the scrambler type QBs, like Kordell Stewart and Michael Vick. Discipline, stay in your lanes and all that stuff. Yeah, Miami caught them by surprise with the launch of the Wildcat but the Pats figured that out pretty well the next time. Having several games of film will help too.

Good questions. At least the Pats will have experience facing left handed quarterbacks as they have the potential to face three of them in the next 5 games, Tyler Palko, Vick if he's healthy ( a good game by Vince Young might help heal those ribs) and Tebow....

Jets should get a gambling corruption investigation for the defense they played on the TD. Why blitz a guy that can't pass?

I loved the game by the way, it was more humiliating for the Jets this way.

I'm gonna watch this again!!

I don't know if it's because it was against the jets but I was laughing the entire drive!!! hahaha

John Elway did not look happy at all when Tebow ran for the TD.

He's probably desperately looking for reasons to bench/trade Tebow and that won't be easy as long as TT keeps winning.

Seneca Wallace owned us in 2009.

they should start showing the people that give threads stars... I swear ppl give poor ratings for no reseason... my guess it was Calciume

How does this thread get a 2??? GTreat Event, Great Link, Great questions.

we need to find out who the star whore is. I seldom give threads ratings. There needs to be an option to see who rated the thread and what score it was given by the individual users. Once this happens we can find the deranged thread rater.... who is just a plain HATER:eek:
