In an exciting new development, Ross Ventrone (S) has been added to the practice squad. He adds an element of respectable speed, deceptive quickness, and good hand techniques. He also demonstrates an unprecedented ability to slip through the waiver wire without being claimed.

That is exciting. Good find!

. He also demonstrates an unprecedented ability to slip through the waiver wire without being claimed.

I think he has done so 9 times now, three times last year and and six times this year.

That might be an NFL record.

I believe this signing may also mark the end of the Victorian Era.

somebody copy this thread, because it a week or so we may need to paste it back.

Ventrone waived
Ventrone signed to PS
Ventrone promoted to 53

Oh goody! My "Ventrone-released" macro is now at the ready.

Regards,
Chris

Wait a second, Ross Ventrone played in the Jets game on Sunday night! How the hell did that happen? Was he released and re-signed, or just demoted from the Active Roster to the Practice Squad?

If he wasn't released, Coach Belichick might be losing it. He may have missed a crucial step in his weekly Ventrone cleansing.

What about Dan Gronkowski? We know how much Belichick loves to cut a big ol' Gronkowski every Tuesday or Wednesday.

Mods...... can we "sticky" this?

The Patriots just announced that he will be released from the practice squad later on today.

He will then be signed to the active roster tomorrow and released on Saturday only to be re-signed Sunday morning but will be released before game time. Immediately following the game he will be signed to the practice squad and released.

Also the Patriots announced that they have both signed and released Malcolm Williams, Josh Victorian and Thomas Welch from the practice squad to make room for future Ventrone transactions.

I'm surprised no teams don't even bother to claim him.

Glad I held onto my Ventrone jersey for another week! :rocker:

I have a nickname candidate: Yo-yo Ventrone.

Plaxico can't believe it!

I would guess that BB is paying Ross the same on the PS as the 53 to give him incentive not to go elsewhere. Also he has seen how sticking with BB through all this can work out as his Brother took a similar path (maybe not quite as much back and forth but...) and is now a regular active player (STs) for the Browns. I know Rey Ventrone was a great STer for the Browns last year but I havent heard much of him this year anyone know whats up with him has he been playing as good as last year? I would think not based on stats, based on stats I wonder if he is hurt or something?

Hahaha,

At the super bowl that shall not be named we saw a group of People all wearing Ventrone Jersey's including what was one smokeshow who must have been Reys wife or girlfriend, his younger brother who we all now know, and others in his family.

Rusty Benson is back! He is the suburban poet!

And in other news, it is reported that water is wet.
