After Sunday I can see them shifting protection over to Carter so throwing in some overload blitzes on the other side where Anderson is should produce a fair number of sacks & pressures.

He'd have ceased throwing to him if it weren't for the fact that Haley the former WR's coach believes he's Dwayne's personal guru and Cassel doesn't have any other choices. We don't run the just throw it up there offense in case you hadn't noticed. Although we did give it a go a few years back and it nearly worked until the stretch run and playoffs...

If Dwayne Bowe had a better work ethic and drive...but then the elite talents seldom do. Adversity derails them. Their egos get in the way. They believe their own hype. This offense is better suited to the kind of immeasurable talent that is harder to quantify who has had to overcome adversity and subjugate their ego just to get a shot and doesn't let hype or perception distract them from their goals.

I've watched almost every Chiefs game over the past 2+ seasons. I'll just put it this way..... Bowe has some issues.

Pioli planned to jettison him as part of his system installation because he was an overall pain in the ass with entitlement issues that plagued much of KC's roster at the time and the dropsies to boot, but in hiring Haley the WR coach extraordinaire as his HC that plan got tossed out the window because Haley believes he can fix any receiver. Then he got suspended for 4 games for using a masking agent... And he continued to drop critical passes at the worst times. He remains an enigma. Probably in part because of his background and upbringing coupled with his storybook survival as a late blooming football talent...
