I see a lot of comparisons gaining steam.
I just want to make one caution. The Packers have had a joke of a schedule thus far, especially and specifically to passing defenses.
Their schedule, with opponents passer rating against ranking in parantheses:
Saints (20)
Panthers (28)
Bears (6)
Broncos (30)
Falcons (21)
Rams (25)
Vikings (31)
Chargers (29)
Vikings (31)
So just to recap, 5 of their victories have come against teams in the bottom 5 in the league in passing defense.
They have only faced one team in the top 10, and none in the top 5.
All but one of their victories are against teams in the bottom half of the league.
Meanwhile, in 2007, the Patriots defeated:
Jets (16)
Chargers (1)
Bills (15)
Bengals (27)
Browns (t-17)
Cowboys (5)
Phins (29)
Skins (10)
Colts (3)
Bills (15)
Eagles (13)
Ravens (24)
Steelers (9)
Jets (16)
Phins (29)
Giants (t-17)
Victories against the bottom five: only 2 (Phins, twice). Victories against the top five: 3. Victories against the top 10: 5.
