Chiefs (4-5) at Patriots (6-3) MNF 8:30PM ET

Don't need to explain this one.

Bills (5-4) at Dolphins (2-7) 1:00PM ET

Bills are our biggest threat for the division right now.

Jets (5-4) at Broncos (4-5) Thur 8:20PM ET,

Root againts the Jets. As an added bonus Broncos are only one game behind Oakland who we don't want to win the division.

Raiders (5-4) at Vikings (2-7) 1:00PM ET,

We have the Raiders second round pick.

Eagles (3-6) at Giants (6-3) 8:20PM ET,

We might have the Eagles 6th.

Bengals (6-3) at Ravens (6-3) 1:00PM ET,

Take your pick or root for a tie. This game will no doubt affect playoff standings but it is impossible to know which is better for NE. Bengals have a slightly better conference record so Raven's might be the way to go.

Titans (5-4) at Falcons (5-4) 1:00PM ET,

Want the Falcons to take the division from the Saints.

Buccaneers (4-5) at Packers (9-0) 1:00PM ET

If not the the Falcons than the Bucs, plus I don't another team to get 16-0. OMG I can't beleive I have become Mecury Morris. I feel dirty.

Chargers (4-5) at Bears (6-3) 4:15PM ET,

To keep Oakland from winning the division.

Panthers (2-7) at Lions (6-3) 1:00PM ET,
Seahawks (3-6) at Rams (2-7) 4:05PM ET,
Cowboys (5-4) at Redskins (3-6) 1:00PM ET,
Cardinals (3-6) at 49ers (8-1) 4:05PM ET,

These four are only to help devalue the Miami first round draft pick.

Jaguars (3-6) at Browns (3-6) 1:00PM ET, buy tix

Take your pick. Or root for a tie.

Byes: Colts (0-10), Saints (7-3), Steelers (7-3), Texans (7-3)

This is the only one I disagree with. I would prefer the Titans take the second wildcard, denying it to the Jets.

Hmm, sort of a duller week in the root against department for me; Steelers on bye and the other AFCN game is hard to pick a rooting interest.

I suppose its conceivable the Phins could beat the Bills - and I would love to see that.

I hate the Broncos and am not a Tebow fan, but I will be Thursday night.

The AFCN would be taking both wildcards right now, so it might be moot. But I see your point.

Bengals (6-3) at Ravens (6-3) 1:00PM ET

I definitely root for the Bengals. The Ravens are a good team with 2 bad performances; the Bengals are still an unknown and are likely to lose other games after this based on their schedule.

I can't root for the Southern Jets. I hope Cinncinnati who's played them tough the last few years and beaten them puts a hurting on them.

Back in control of their own destiny, the Patriots need to win out and end up 13-3 and have the whole enchilada (while we freak out.)

Think Blackjack - hard and fast rules with no deviation for emotional reasons:

Rule #1: Be a homer - Root for the Patriots over every opponent

Rule #2: Root for the NFC team to hand the AFC team a loss

Rule #3: In intra-AFC games root for the team with the worst record

Rule #4: In intra-AFC games between teams with equal w-l records root for the team with the worst tie-breaker position as far down the list as you have to go

Rule #5: In intra-NFC games, don't worry about it

Nay. We want the Packers to win out, go 18-0 and meet the evil genius Hooded One and his band of rabid Ventrones and Gronkowskis in the 2012 Super Bowl.

There could be no sweeter victory than a win by the New England Patriots over the storied Green Bay Packers in a revenge game of Biblical proportions getting pay back for 1996 and righting the wrong of 2007-08. Stay thirsty, my friend.

Rooting for our Lord Tebow Christ. :D

I'm not wording this correctly, but if we have to pray for a "easier" team to play during initial rounds, isn't the purpose defeated already ?

I really don't want us to go 1 and done this year :bricks:

I start there....but I also add in the future draft picks.

Other than

Raiders (5-4) at Vikings (2-7) 1:00PM ET,

which violates rule 2, my adding in draft picks doesn't change the interest much.

I'd rather our second first round pick be higher, personally. This Jets team isn't going anywhere.

Two? They have had 3 bad losses, IMO. They got destroyed by the Titans.

Excellent addition, Draft picks. Whose do the Pats own for next year and do we think that Belichick will actually use them?

bump for gameday
