Jets' Jim Leonhard says quick turnaround to Denver 'ridiculous' - NFL - Sporting News

Oh,cry me a river

What a whiny little ass this guy is,give me the money he makes and I will suit up and play tomorrow!

If they had beaten the Pats, it would have been different and them thinking they are world beaters and can win anytime and anywhere, now that they are just one game from possibly falling to .500,they feel outraged on a schedule they knew about since April.

I think the fact that the Pats beat them AND the Pats are one game up on them AND they have to play another game in 4 days 2,000 miles away while the Pats get more than a week off before a game at Foxboro has brought them to whine, tears and jealousy.

No matter how you feel about him as an imaginary QB,.....WE ARE ALL TIM TEBOW FANS THIS WEEK,!!!....GLORY HALLELUJAH!!

Pats played Lions, Colts, and Steelers in the same time period last season that they play the Bills, Pats, and Bronco's. I'll take their 3 game stretch every time over the one we had.

Grow a pair Leonhard.

Man up Leonhard you arsehole! Never complained about it before.

what a b!tch

go and cry w/ your pathetic fan-base.

we got SCREWED on calls last night...

I do think its a lot. The Chargers got worse treatment though vs. playoff teams go figure.

In fairness to Leonhard, if Sanchez my QB, I wouldn't be happy of the prospect of him potentially crapping the bed on national television twice in five days either.

Jets...a bunch of crybabies

The only gripe I have with a thursday game is they had to play Sunday night. It should be a 1pm EST game if you play on thursday (or maybe 4pm if you are east coast).

Pats played Lions in Detroit at 12:30 on Thursday after a late Sunday afternoon game against the Colts in Foxboro.

Yeah, but then they get 10 days before their next game to rest, recover and eat more goddamn snacks. It's almost like having a second bye week.

True, but Leonhard is taking it one game at a time, so that hasn't occurred to him.

I don't blame him for not liking it. It's a lousy hand to be dealt. But, some teams are dealt it every year. If it's so onerous to the players, they should have dealt with it when they were negotiating the CBA.

Did he complain about it when the schedule was released?

I have no idea. I agree with him that the Sunday/Thursday thing sucks, I just don't have all that much sympathy for them when they could have dealt with this in CBA negotiations. The Thursday games are all about money and, unlike the Monday night games, they leave the players almost no time to recover from one game to the next. However, both the owners and the players chose, once again, to go with money over the health and welfare of the players, so I'm not going to be singing any laments on his behalf.

Agreed, more my position takes interest in whether or not he was vocal about it then or more it's a reaction to the predicament the Jets find themselves in.

One thing we both know, it would have been a non issue had the Jets won on Sunday Night Football. Thankfully and rightfully, order was restored (for my own sanity).

Wish they moved TNF to Fridays.

If you ask me,Thursday games should be limited to NFL Opening Weekend with the SB Champion hosting the game and raising the banner and on Thanksgiving as always.

All others Sunday and sunday night and maybe even two games on Monday night as they do the first week

It does seem kind of odd to have a team play a Sunday Night game before a Thursday night game (you'd think they would get a 1pm), but it's not that big of a deal.

I think the issue with the Jets is that they have to travel 2,000 miles on a very short week.....had this game been in Baltimore or somewhere in the East I don't know if they would complain.

You can probably say that Revis Island will be without any inhabitants on Thursday Night.

The words 'Tebow'' and 'passing' are not used in the same sentence
