He currently has a passer rating of almost 130 with the next guy (Brady) at around 100. This is one of the most incredible stretches I have ever seen a quarterback play, and Rodgers is still young.

In my opinion, Rodgers has a chance to become the greatest quarterback of all-time. Careers are long and lots of things will happen, players moving to other teams, slumps, fame, getting the bullseye on your back, etc., but Rodgers is the most gifted QB I have seen. He has Brady's accuracy but added mobility.

I hope the Packers have more prime time games in the second half of the season, because we are witnessing history; Brady's TD record will likely stand, but many other passing records will be shattered.

Not gonna happen. Using rankings from about a week ago (last time I bothered checking), he had played all defenses in the bottom half of the league in passer rating allowed. Six of his last 7 are against teams in the top half of the league in passer rating allowed.

In 07 Brady was up there through 10 games and then a combination of bad weather, teams catching up to what they doing and the wear and tear of the season caught up to him a bit. If Rodgers played in a dome like Peyton I'd be more on board. I will say the schedule favors him.

And when it's finally snowing in Lambeau in the playoffs and the Gmen/ATL come to town, their non-existent rungame/defense will catch up to them. :D

lol @ atlanta, the Giants will probably be a different story. Arod has yet to play a good defense.

Ha I couldn't think of a team with a power run game off the top of my head, the Bears would have been a way better choice.

With 2,619 yards and 24 TDs, Aaron Rodgers is first player with at least 2,600 pass yds and 24 pass TDs in team’s first 8 games of a season.

The Packers horrific defense will really help Rodgers pad his stats the rest of the way. Having seen all of their games, I don't think it really matters what the opposing defense is ranked of their upcoming opponents...he's that good.

Brady quietly as well as Brees are on pace to shatter Marino's yardage record.

Whoopdeedoo.

I couldn't care less about Rodgers or about the history he's making. He can go piss up a rope as far as I'm concerned.

I'm sick of the Packers.

Pretty much this

Packers were a great story last year. Rodgers is so ****y it's irritating. It's one thing to be quietly arrogant, but he's so full of himself.

I guess he deserves it, and I'm a little jealous, but I'm ready for the Packers to lose.

I bet anything the Packers become the first team in history to go 19-0 and win the Super Bowl (again).

Rodgers > Brady  :(

Wasn't everybody (the media) calling Brady the best ever about a month ago?
All that has changed in the last month? I wonder who'll be the best ever next month?

Rodgers is having a fantastic season, but the next good pass defense that he plays against will be the first. Not a dig at him, he's just doing exactly what a top-tier, great, elite QB who's on top of his game does against crappy competition.

If they can win in Detroit on the short Thanksgiving rest, they'll deserve it.

Regards,
Chris

this. pretty much like peyton facing texans (dome furthermore)and jaguars secondarys and playing in domes for his entire career

Isn't it amazing what a QB can accomplish when he's focusing on quarterbacking and not...

a) Under Armor
b) Uggs
c) Vitamin Water
d) His post-football life with his supermodel wife
e) All of the above

?

:)

Which of these things was Brady not "focusing on" last year when he won the first unanimous MVP in NFL history? Fail. Please never post here again, thanks.

They won't go 19-0 with that defense.

Honestly, I doubt Brady wins another Super Bowl. The knee injury changed him forever, and he's at the age where nagging injuries from the regular NFL grind are starting to affect his performance.

Belichick is too busy turning over the entire defense every season, and Krafty is all about "value" (i.e. "they don't pay" -- see Welker, Wes).

Rodgers is ascendant. He has a lot more rings left in him.

And McCarthy? Well, the game hasn't passed him by. :)
