Is Brady Hurt????

Zolak brought this up on his show this morning. He is suggesting that some of the throws that are off are due to some type of arm injury. Between possessions he is either heating it or cooling it, some type of tendonitis?? Also has been spotted wearing some compression stuff...

Also seems to be having some problems with the long throws..

The first games are much different than the last few, maybe there are injury issues here???

He does not seem to be same qb as he was the first part of the season.. perhaps all this brouhaha is less about other teams figuring out the Pats and more about his abilities due to an injury.

Didn't he have a wrap on his arm recently during a game? I didn't think anything of it at the time. Maybe there is more there than we know.

I've seen him wrapping his arm in a towel for a few years now between possessions, the announcers when they comment on it tend to say he's just keeping his arm warm like a pitcher would.

Although he has taken a number of hard hits on his arm and has fallen on his shoulder a few times this season, I just think Zolak is trying to find an excuse for Brady being off, but it just happens sometimes, it isn't his fault defenses are clogging up the middle...where all the receivers are.

I dont buy it, I just think he had a bad game...injuries dont account for bad decision making by brady..like throwing into tight coverage when receivers are wide open. he was however missing some wide open receivers which is very un-bradylike

he played well against pittsburgh, no ints....but time of posession killed them

I think it is more mental than physical. He seems to lack confidence before the ball is even thrown, you can just sense it, he is dancing around afraid of the pass rush, and when he steps up and goes on a roll he starts getting greedy and looking for the completion in triple coverage. He also has a mental attachment to Welker and Gronkowski, completely ignoring other options at times.

With that said the bodies he has around him are not good enough, he needs better options period, I am tired of hearing Branch and an injured Hernandez labeled weapons. Weapons for the opposing team is more like it.

If we fail the Jets game... Play Brian Hoyer for a few games and boost his stock. Hoyer won't hurt this team, where as a hurt TFB is not helping it.

You people are delusional. 3/4th of his above his normal average picks this season were tipped balls. He's making tough throws, not all of which are being caught by his receivers. Some of his receivers may appear to be open, but if they aren't where they are supposed to be he isn't targeting them because he knows from the coverage that they aren't really as open as they may appear...not to mention they cannot be trusted. Ocho blew a TD again yesterday because he failed to read the coverage post snap and make the same adjustment Brady did as Aikman noted from the booth. Success at this level is a combination of great throws and gutsy catches against tight coverage. Brady doesn't have anyone beyond Welker at the moment who is consistently where he should be and fully aware of his surroundings and making those gutsy catches, and he has a lot of guys who can do so when focused or not challenged who simply increasingly aren't consistently focused enough to not miss even some of the rare gimme's defenses are allowing.

Is he hurting? Yeah, and I don't doubt it's both mentally and physically because he's once again getting knocked around behind the LOS and being asked to carry an offense that on paper was supposed to carry a team... Is whatever is ailing him the root cause of the disconnect on offense? No. He is as usual making the best of the hand he's being dealt.

Was he hurt in the playoffs last year. Has he been hurt in every game there's been a decent pass rush and he looks like crap?

Is Brady hurt? Probably. The bigger questions is what’s going on in his head, if he’s playing different because 1) he doesn’t have a deep receiving corp that he trusts (aside from Welker/Gronk) and 2) he knows the defense will melt down in critical times.

That is patent BS. I saw him slip a couple of near sacks just to be eventually hit hard anyway, in one case almost immediately threafter. He's like a pinata back there more often than not against stout DL's rushing 4 on 5 or 6.

I don't see him yukking it up on the sidelines like his LG and LT who seemed to think yesterday was some sort of comedy of errors... He's not getting much diagnostic assistance with Koppen gone, maybe that was part of what Dante was discussing with him and Branch on the sidelines. But he's also not getting a whole lot of consistent execution from his OL chock full of 1st rounders and former pro bowlers and big bodies who supposedly had a lot higher ceiling than their predecessors or his shiny new TE's and WR's not named Welker against tight coverage that the ability to get pressure rushing 4 allows... I know Dante has always had a rep for colorful criticism of his charges techniques in practice. In games all I see is a softspoken guy reminding them to man up and do their jobs and make some plays...when I think many times a couple of them need a kick in their ample asses.

how can you blame Ochocinco for that non TD Mo??? brady threw it too high..is Ocho supposed to jump 15feet into the air and get it? that shouldve been an easy TD for brady...ive been hard on Ocho but its rediculous to see him taking heat for his lack of production yesterday.

about 3 of those passes to ochocinco were uncatchable

as much as I love Brady, he was bad yesterday..bad decision making, bad accuracy...hes got 10INT's in 8 games vs. 4 all year yesterday...the good thing is I dont think brady can continue to play this bad..hes just too good

Just because a ball in intercepted doesn't mean it was a bad throw or terrible decision. Tipped balls are most often on the OL for not keeping their man grounded or occupied or on receivers for not being aware of the situations they are in or not getting off a jam or drifting on a route or not fighting for a ball... Brady is making the same throws and decisions he made last year when he won the MVP. Actually he's making them against stiffer competition as Bill noted after the Pittsburgh and JETS games. It's just those around him aren't making the same kind of plays they were this time last season, except of course for good old Welker...

No football player is ever 100%. Brady took some big hits early in the year so it wouldn't surprise me one bit. There is a difference between hurt and injured but hurt for a QB is different from hurt for a lineman.

Take the freaking blinders off. The majority of these INTs aren't being caused by tipped balls at the line. If you throw it 10 yards downfield right at a linebacker who tips it up for an INT, that's on the QB. He's throwing balls right at defenders and making bad decisions. Did you not see the game yesterday, or what?
