He's been poor this year, they need to think about bringing someone new in. Missing from 27 yards in the NFL is not acceptable.
His quad tore clear off the bone last year, and he wasn't able to rehab under the watch of the Pats thanks to the lockout.
Welker had a down year in 2010 after his ACL; if Gostkowski's still struggling at the start of next season, then I'd be worried.
he's never really had very very very few high pressure end of regulation/OT kicks. I don't think he had any in college either.....saw a stat once about this but we all know this is anecdotally true.I'm so f***ing done with him. He never comes through when we need him.
The next game where Gostkowski's misses actually are the difference between winning and losing will be his first.
It did cost us. Had he kicked his ******* 17 yarder we would've gone for the 2 point conversion.
And if the Pats missed that, then what?
The only thing Gostkowski excels at is kicking deep. He is not a pressure kicker because the few times he has to make pressure kicks, he doesn't come through. I thought with the kick off being moved to the 35, Graham would have served us better.
