I watched it, it was a bloodbath out there. Hall's draft stock probably just took a dip as a result. I still wouldn't mind seeing him on the Pats, though... he got left one on one with no safety help way too often, the result isn't entirely surprising.

um he owned him once on 62 yarder..not really owned

he allowed 1 catch but he was supposed to have safety over top on the 62 yarder.

other than that..Hall was on Smith and Morgan Trent was on Jarrett im guess b/c size?

DJ : 6"5
Trent: 6"1

Hall: 5"10

(Totally biased michigan fan here)

Yeah, but his attitude leaves quite a bit to be desired. And I'm pretty sure that David Trent (#14) was on him for much of the game, with Hall on the other guy.

however i found out that Leon Hall lacks great speed. Reminds me of Antrel Rolle without having great tackle ability like Antrel. Not as good a prospect but his game is similar

Hall looked bad against Ohio State too. I was expecting him to drop in the rankings but he didn't. Maybe he will now.

Hall wasn't on Jarrett most of the night. Hall played well IMO. He actually showed some catch up speed that surprised me, and tough tackling. His draft stock won't drop much if at all IMO. Top 15. USC attacked the other corner, #14, and the safeties. Michigan got zero pass rush because LT Sam Baker, C Ryan Khalil and RT Kyle Williams were dominant in pass protection, which exposed the secondary.

Hall only got beat once..otherwise they didnt throw to him. that 1 time safety didnt get over quick enough and Hall dove and missed at the tackle

Hall had a great game IMO..they didnt wanna test him

Who?

Dominates

Who?

Jarret wasn't very classy when he made the grab between two defenders and tossed it to one of the Michigan DBs. That would draw a flag every day in the NFL. One of the announcers said "I wish WRs would act like Larry Fitzgerald and not like Terrell Owens, and I mean it". He did have a point.

I thought Jarret left a couple of catches out on the field as well, he had a couple of tips when he was running the crossing routes (though nearly held onto a circus catch in the end zone).

The big question is who should the Pats draft with pick #21. Steve Smith or Dwayne Jarret?? Both of these guys had 1000 yard seasons. Smith with 9 TDs and Jarrett with 12 respectively.

I like Smith but he's projected as around a 3rd rounder. A playmaker in college but doesn't really have NFL speed - certainly not to be a top NFL player.

Anyway, everyone knows we'll fail to re-sign Graham and then draft a TE in the first round ;) It's just what we do.

Ok. I guess we will be taking a long hard look at Jarrett at #21 then. Steve Smith might be a steal in the 3rd or 4th round if we can't land Jarrett.

Who says Jarrett will be there when we pick at #21 (or wherever we pick) ? They were talking about him being the #2 best WR in the draft, in a somewhat strong WR draft (Johnson, Jarrett, Ginn, etc). I'd love to see him on the Pats, but if he does enter the draft, and has a great combine, we won't even come close to him.

So Dwayne Jarret's stellar performance is all the fault of Leon Hall, and not the other three pedestrians in the Michigan secondary? Willis Barringer's draft stock took a tumble, but I guess that's not quite so exciting a topic, huh?

Mike Williams looked fantastic for USC a couple years ago too. As for college WRs I wouldn't put much stock in anyone other than Calvin Johnson.
