Running game.
Giants
O 188/599 3.2
D 195/911 4.7

Patriots
O 175/787 4.5
D 163/707 4.3

We run well when we run, they are awful in run D. We are average in run D and they are terrible running the ball.

They have also allowed at least 145 yards in each of their last last 5 games with an average of 156.

Well looks like Brady will be slinging it 38 times today ... :D:D:D

I agree AJ, but the question I can't figure out is: which RBs exactly are going to run the ball this week? This is part sarcasm/part serious question...BJGE and Faulk not 100% (chance one or the other doesn't start?), Woodhead is...and the rookies are...

Sorry if this has already been covered extensively (I don't follow all these threads), but curious what others think BB's RB strategy might be today..

We have BJGE, Ridley, Faulk, Woodhead, Vereen.
We can find 30 carries in that group pretty easily.

As long as that goes with about 30 runs, that would be excellent.
By the way, we average 25 runs (27 aside from last week) and 38 passes.

I agree ... it's like this team is obsessed with the pass ... 3rd and 2 .. hey lets go shotgun .. this team needs to get physical..

I'm actually more interested in running on 1st and 10, or 2nd and 6.
I don't really care about the false macho of running on short yardage, we are probably more successful throwing on 3rd and 2 than any team is running on 3rd and 2.
I want to expose their run D on run/pass downs to make them play the run so we can throw.
Running for 150 yards is great, but points come from the passing game.

Exactly. In today's game, it's rare to see a team run on 3rd and 2.

Our offense needs to run and keep our defense off the field. That is all.

No, our offense needs to SCORE. Staying on the field and not scoring doesnt help anyone, except the opponent.

Lets go BJGE
I'm actually feeling good about Ridley today. He has shown more quickness and looks better on the second level, and I think we will have RBs pop through the point of attack today.

I'd love to see a coherent rotation of BJGE and Ridley. BJ would be outstanding in a rotation with his consistency - by himself, not so much. Ridley could really shake a defense up if he cuts loose a couple times.

You beat me to it, I was going to say the same thing. If BJGE can't be productive or needs to have his number of carries limited due to his turf toe, then it makes sense to have Ridley run the ball early and often.
