Television coverage for week 9, Giants at Pats
By: John Morgan

Not surprisingly FOX uses its second and last opportunity to broadcast the Patriots game to a rather extensive audience this week. The game in Foxboro against the Giants gets their top billing, with the announcing crew of Joe Buck and Troy Aikman calling ...

Nice...So here in Western, NY we prob are going to be able to watch at least 12 games of the Pats even with the Bills in the same market.

Not sure how accurate it is. The list says Ohio minus Toledo gets NYG-NEP game...while this link says I'm forced to watch the damn Packers SD game....
hmmm

The list says Cincinnati, Cleveland, Columbus, Dayton, and Youngstown Ohio get the Pats - Giants, and goes on to list Lima and Toledo Ohio as getting the Packers - Chargers game.

Looks to me like the list coincides with the map, no?

Nope. Cause the 506 map says that Dayton, Columbus (Where I live) Cincy gets the Packers SD game while Cleveland, Youngstown (basically the Eastern part of Ohio) gets the NE game.

I hope I get the Pats game but I doubt it. Usually the map is correct. I looked at my DVR schedule and it doesn't say what game it will broadcast. It's a NFL game but it says -TBD.

:(

Packers/Chargers for my market... :(

Doesn't the MN market get to chose what game they want to broadcast? if so, being in the Vikings market, I would def screw over any Packer fans in MN and show the Pats game.

Probably because it's a division rival? Hoping for local fans to root against the other team in your division.

Besides, television stations aren't interested in screwing over a rival fan base; the only thing they care about is ratings and ad revenue.

Morgan, My dvr guide now says I get the NYG Pats game!! Wohoo

(Columbus, Ohio)

The funny thing is that the map looks radically different than it did yesterday. FOX and/or a lot of the individual stations must have decided to switch games. The other strange thing is that earlier in the week the map was almost all red (Pats game) in Ohio; now it is almost all blue (Packers) - plus it has where you are (Columbus OH) as having the Packers game even though your guide says the Pats game.

Confusing to say the least.

The 506 map is still the same from Tuesday. Nothing as changed. But my dvr info went from TBA to NYG Pats game. So..I'm hoping it's true.

My mistake then. I thought there was a whole lot more red (Pats) not only in Ohio, but throughout all of the southeast; now I see more blue (Packers) in Florida, Georgia, Alabama and Louisiana, among other places.

The San Francisco area says "no game due to NFL rules" for the FOX late game. They are getting 49ers in the morning on FOX and Raiders in the morning which are both away games so it has nothing to with blackout rules. Why would they only get 2 games on network TV instead of 3? TV listings confirm that they are only getting 2 games as well so I don't believe it's an error.

Late game is Denver at Oakland which is on CBS, so no late game on Fox in SF/Oakland area due to those NFL rules about no other game on TV when there is a team playing at home at the same time in that market.

Ok...My dvr went from NYG Pats to SD Packers.

I HATE YOU FOX 28!!! DIE~~~~!!!!

You've gotta somehow grab the Directv Sunday Ticket, Ninja...at all costs. It takes all of the worry out of it, and there's nothing better than knowing you will see every game. I honestly don't know how I'd live without it at this point, lol.

Playstation 3 offers a streaming option for those who aren't allowed/don't have the option to have the dish at their residence (apartments/ tree obstruction, etc)

While it's expensive at approx. 300 per yr, there are ways to get them to knock 100 or so off the price.

My Apt won't allow dishes. I hate watching Pats games via online stream.

I wish the NFL offered a Pay per view option to cable.

For those who can't get the game, just download it from TenchisTV.

Not trying to advertise the site. It's completely free to use. Really easy to download.

I'll be happily watching the Pats game on it here in Ohio. :)
