Can We Fix It? (the secondary)

Good question !

On the same subject why aren't we running Correy Dillon more. Also when was the last time that bum Bruschi got a sack ? Cut his ass BB

Better question is why isn't Elderman returning kicks (he was a healthy scratch)

Any defense that can stop the run can be fixed.

Especially when you play as well in the red zone as we have.

does this defense look even slower than last year?

The weakness of the New York Giants defense as far as running the ball at them is to do it right behind the center and left guard, I truly believe we see more Ridley and perhaps Vereen get some carries in Power sets. If we have a formation of Price at left flank, Welker in the backfield with a back in front of him, fake the hand off to welker and hit ridley on the screen Price is a excellent blocker, with the Gronk brothers leading the way, on the blocks that could be a little wrinkle we use to take advantage of the Giants who shoot the gaps, and may catch them unprepared with some trickery.

As far as Passing the Ball keeping Brady in the shotgun will get Brady killed out there, We need to have playaction work to move the ball against this defense their secondary worries me only slightly, we need really work the screen game, but not mid range 8 to 10 yd passes their highly athletic linebackers will be ready for this if we can not run the ball they will be sitting on this all day.
Hitting them deep off of playaction is definitely the best way to attack this New York defense in the air, Price can get deep as well as Ocho to and extent we need to get these guys some chances to get behind rolle, and Phillips, They match up well against Gronk so I see him as a blocker more than a receiver this game, throw in a hobbled Hernandez playing around 80 percent and we need to use screen, power runs out of a were gonna run the ball so try to stop it formation.

Slower? You mean mentally right? ?Cause those guys are fast, it is the coaching. It is too complex for them I think, BB just does not know how to simplified it without making it ineffective than it already is. As hard as that is to be believed.

idk, I feel with more time/familiarity with eachother, and coaching....issues like tackling/leaving guys wide open in coverage, 3rd down defense can be fixed.

the biggest thing we can improve upon that will help mask alot of our issues in the secondary is an improved pass rush...they're starting to get more pressure at the QB, but they're not quite there yet...if you can force the QB to make quick throws/innacurate throws it masks alot of deficiencies in the secondary.
