oh, what no fine for that. It was a Patriots WR. and he is the leading wr in the league so he needs to be taken down a peg anyway.

well, I am still going to ask for the fine. I just wish BB would give the press some entertainment value and play the video in a PC and then tell the press corps: ' We just sent this video to the commish with a request for him to look into it.'

That would be hilarious to see the hypocrisy in how ESPN and NFL cover down on both Polo & the refs and hammer BB.

It has been 4 days and I still have not heard anyone explain why that is not a penalty.

I don't know about a fine, but I wish we had a safety like Polamalu who can HIT AND TACKLE all over the field.

Same reason why Polamalu batting the ball into the EZ wasn't a penalty...the officials are inept.

Sounds right to me! That had to be one of the worst called games I can remember.

Watching the game with my dad (who is a huge Steelers homer) and his explanation was:

"Polamalu didn't grab the face-mask or horsecollar. Welker was just to pathetic to break the tackle."

Needless to say that game was painful to watch.

it shouldve been called as unessecary roughness. he legit slammed welker to the ground.

its starting to become abit like the NBA with the "star treatment" for penalties...Revis is allowed to hold, polomalu can drag a player to the ground and its ok...

IC I don't think it's soft I think it's coaching don't be dumb and get the penalty because 99.9 percent of the time that's a penalty if that was Ihedigbo there would be a fine for him about 40 percent of his yearly income when he opened his mail.

I wonder what your father would think of this pic, Polamalu clearly had his arm on the facemask and most definitely twisted.

Sorry if this has been dealt with,didnt see any other posts regarding it.When I see Welker missed Wed.'s practice re a neck injury,I recall the hit Polamalu administered to Welker where he came in at at angle and jumped on his back,cradled Welker's head in one arm and twisted it.The replay was painful to watch.I realize this was not against the rules(to my limited knowledge) but it looked like the kind of thing that could cripple a player.Have to wonder why this type of tackle is not illegal,like clotheslining,using the facemask...Thoughts?

I actually held my breath for a bit on that play, very concerned that Wes was going to have a serious neck injury.
