Yeah he started the year with a record setting performance. He looked good for a couple weeks. But he's fallen off recently.

Against Buffalo he threw 4 INTs, matching his INT output from all of last season in just 1 game. Part of the blame can be placed on BOB for the playcalling, but ultimately it was Brady who didnt execute properly.

He didnt do so well against the Raiders.

He looked pretty bad against the Jets. It was our running game that bailed us out of that one.

He didnt look so good in the Cowboys game either. I think there was even an INT where he threw a jump pass off his back foot.

Then he didn't look good last week against the Steelers either. Yeah its the Steelers, so what? He's shredded better Steeler Defenses before.

At this point in his career, I think we'll see spurts of greatness, but I don't expect him to be on his game every week like he has been in the past. Nobody will want to accept it, but he's getting older and wear and tear is adding up every day.

Could some kind mod please move this mindnumbing drivel to the PS where it belongs...

Rats, and the trading deadline has already passed!!

Why not debate the points that I brought up instead of running for a Mod...

Because your post in nonsensical garbage. I'm not being a homer either. Don't expect anyone to take this seriously.

You're ignoring bad protection, tips at the o-line, receivers knocking the ball into defenders arms.

Steelers played tight man to man, not the zone coverage they always play. We didn't have a burner on the field to break away from the man to man and force them into something else, we have great route runners who are smart and quick but it does sometimes take more than that to get away from solid man to man coverage.

You're ignorant to these games. The fact is Brady did not play like his usual self.

He played like Playoff Brady has since 2007.

Like it or not, he's human and won't be the best forever. I'm just pointing out that he's beginning to show signs of decline.

Cannot believe that I just read this thread, can I have 2 minutes of my life back..

These threads are getting ridiculous.. mods, where are the mods???

The Pats should have traded Brady before the trade deadline and started the Ryan Mallett era already. It is clear that Brady is done.

Hey Mark Sanchez stop creating multiple ids and stop posting BS like this thread on PATS forums......go back to REX

Mo Lewis doesn't like dissenting opinion. Brady is not having a bad year. He is not having the year he had last year and he has not been "prolific" in the last 3 games. But, the three and outs hurt, there were a few against Dallas and a few against Pittsburgh at crucial times. Also, first drive last week, 2nd and 1 at midfield and they have to punt already down 7. Can't happen, with a good defense it can but not with this one. Its not fair to Tom, but its a reality. He is going to have to be closer to last year if they are going to come out of the next four games 3-1 which I think they need to do.

Things that should worry people. Tom and his comfort zone, last week too much reliance on Faulk and a couple throws to Branch were poor decisions. O'Brien needs to have a better game plan this week that includes protection, and screen passes against the best rush in football.

Also, you won't hear it from CIA HQ at Patriot place but BJGE has turf toe. Its a HUGE injury, very painful and I think they need to give his a couple weeks off to rest it. Giving him 5 carries like last week does nothing. Go with Ridley, Faulk, Woodhead and Vereen. The Patriots NEED to win this game. They clearly are struggling on the road they need the home wins and this team needs a bye even more than last year.

He played like Playoff Brady has since 2007.

Right, so it's Tom Brady's fault all but 2 or 3 of his picks have come from either bouncing of the receivers hands or the ball being tipped?

I wish that I had the honor of being a mod in this forum. I don't think many
trolls would like me though. I don't have patience for nonsense.

I'm going to move this thread to the PS. Not because people have asked but that's where it deserves to be.

Ian created that forum for a reason.

Yet another ridiculous thread by the O.P..

Is he trying for a record, or something?

Probably because some points are too absurd to debate. Try again about 5 years from now when Tom Brady is gone. In the meantime, check out page 79 in this week's Sports Illustrated (11/7 issue)...I'm all for tolerating dissenting points of view, but, man, you need to return to this planet.

Let's dispense with emotions and take a look. Through seven games, things look pretty good. Remember, the Patriots are tied in the loss column for the best record in the AFC with 9 to go.

2011 NFL Player Passing Stats - National Football League - ESPN

Brady is #2 in the NFL behind Aaron Rodgers in QB passing rating. He's #2 in yards passing per game at 337, just 2 ypg behind Rodgers. He's #3 in yards per attempt (a good stat to follow) behind only Rodgers and Eli Manning. (Cam Newton is 5th in that stat ahead of guys like Roethlisberger, Brees, Rivers Stafford - interesting guy to watch.)

Brady is completing 67.6% of his passes in 2011. His career percentage is 63.8%.

Tom Brady is 4th in TDs with 18, on pace for 41 which would be more than any year in his career except for 2007 when he set the NFL record with 50. Drop off? In the Super Bowl Championship years Brady threw for 18, 23 and 28 TDs in the regular season.

Interceptions must be the biggest concern. He has 8 which puts him on pace for 18 this season. Uh-oh. The level of competition declines significantly in the last half of the season, so that stat remains to be seen.

Chill out and enjoy this guy. The problem is on the defensive side of the ball. Last week they couldn't get off the damn field and give TB the opportunities he needed to win that game.

Let me start by saying I have my issues with the PATS defensive play. It needs work. That's just the point, it needs WORK. I am sure they are working on it down in Foxboro, where the electrical power has been on all week.

That said, I am astounded by the sudden massive negativity brought on by this loss. We played a good team. We're a good team. They were better prepared, and they executed their game plan against what they had seen on the video tape. Does all of that suddenly mean that Belichick is a loser coachand that Brady is finished? Does it mean that guys on offense we so high on just before and uring the bye week have suddenly become little girls?

Football is a game, not life and death. We do this for entertainment, this isn't foreign affairs, where a single misstep like the Iraq war is going to cost you for decades, its football. Juding from the threads here and elsewhere in PATS land, it appears that the sky has fallen, darkness is everywhere and the plague stalks the land. Jeez, folks buck up, we have more wins and perhaps some losses yet to live through. Stop with all the stupid stuff, like Brady's too old or Belchick can't do the draft or we need a real GM or whatever. The team is the team there are no saviors out there right now, and if there are nay saviors, they should already be here.
