That BB has been holding out Vereen, Ridley, and price to keep them healthy and will bring them in during the second half of the season....to put the push on to get us into the playoffs. He** everyone has seen what Ridley can do...kid is a multi threat and has been very explosive. SO...what other reason could there be for not playing him? Same with price...kid had best TC of anyone this year and according to Brady and all coaches...he has progressed SIGNIFICANTLY with playbook....Ocho hasn't been doing squat...why else would he not be in there....? BOB says price will start getting more time...lets hope so. Vereen....we have been able to get things done without him.....no one has ANY tape on him....expect him to start playing more soon i would imagine......just some thoughts...has to be good and smart reasons behind why these guys arent playing more!

There don't have to be reasons as to why they haven't played other than BB doesn't think they give the team the best chance to win. I also don't think that BB is "holding them out" just to unleash them in the second half of the season.

If they were ready to play and contribute at a higher level than the players in front of them, they would be out there already.

I don't think BB gives some players enough game time reps which can hurt their development but can understand why he won't. I do think the lockout has really hurt some players this year and they may now be at a point where they should've been when the season started and are ready to make a contribution.

The notion of BB not playing guys simply so other teams won't have tape on them is kinda absurd.

You're too funny :D

Re: I have a funny feeling......

God. I wish you were right, but I'm afraid your not.

Re: I have a funny feeling......

why? can they cover?

Re: I have a funny feeling......

I think Price does see the field a lot more starting next week, because of his ability to stretch the field (he probably scores if Brady doesn't unleash a duck on that long throw to him).

However, the reason Belichick doesn't play younger players is because he values consistency. Veterans usually are much more consistent than younger players. I'd love to see Vereen play more because he strikes me as someone who can catch a swing pass make a move then be off to the races. However, I think for the rest of the year the depth chart is Benny, Faulk, Woodhead, Ridley Vereen.

Re: I have a funny feeling......

I thought ridley showed some promise in the oakland game...running for a TD and having some big yards...he has 180yards rushing which is pretty good...with Benny abit banged up, i wouldve liked to see more of him(and why no rushes for woodhead?)

the thing with Vereen is that he's a 3rd down back...and weve got Woodhead/Faulk for that role of the RB who goes out, runs routes and catches passes. you need

I think of anyone, Taylor Price is going to get the most snaps coming up...the #3 WR spot has been dead and we need some production from it...Edelman wont be playing for awhile, Ocho has been a non-factor, slater has stone hands...so Taylor Price is your only option to start seeing if you can get something out of that role

If these 3 are half as good as you believe and if BB held viable superior game talent players out in some Machiavellian 2nd half plan while losing a key AFC playoff seed game, then he should be fired as all the other Patsfans jackasses have been braying this week.

Ok....But you have to admit at the least, Ridley should be getting more playing time...wouldn't you think? I would love to see he and BJGE rotate in and out. Ridley can catch out of the backfield as well....did it in college too. Thanks

I could not agree more.....Ridley showed alot in Oak, and during the preseason. I had not heard that BJGE was injured, but that explains why he was in there very little sunday. Now with Vereen, all the college tape I saw on him he was more of a shifty, fast cutting runner...right? I honestly did not watch much of Cal and did not see much about him until draft day.

Price really needs to get some reps....at least let him get a chance to prove himself out there and attempt some kind of vertical attack. We have NO ONE else that can provide that right now......thanks for the post....

Re: I have a funny feeling......

Or maybe because they're rookies with no offseason with superior players above them in the depth chart...

Your point is well taken regarding the vets. BJGE has been extremely reliable and does NOT put it on the ground. He is a hard running N->S runner with a few moves here and there. I just feel like we need to utilize more swing passes out of the backfield with Faulk, Woody, and Ridley (and vereen worked in too) . Need more offensive creativity when receivers get shut down like Pitt did Sunday. Where are the "Charlie Weis" type quick screens? Even the quick strike to the TE (like Pitt used with Heath Miller that chewed up 4-5 yrds here and there? Creativity BOB!!!! Creativity! thanks

How are they going to get good enough to become forces in the later part of the season if they barely play?

Ochocinco really hasnt shown anything that he's a better option than Taylor Price....if anything at least Price is younger and can beat his man

I do agree that if BJGE/woodhead are healthy they are better options than Ridley/vereen though...
