Brady on the Loss: 'We never really played the game on our terms'
By: Ian Logue

Last season against the Steelers, it was Tom Brady and the Patriots who built a 23-3 3rd quarter advantage en-route to a 39-26 win over Pittsburgh at Heinz Field....

Steelers were in control of the games tempo from the start. No question about it.

no Disrespect to Tom Brady but teams are not going to just let you play the game on your terms

No excuse. As bad as things were, we were down 17-10 at halftime with the ball in the 3rd quarter. Why couldn't you play on your terms at that point and tie the game.

I find it really hard to disagree with Tom Brady about a football game. After all, he's, like, a HOF QB and actually taking the hits and playing the game, and I'm, like, out of shape, getting snacks and watching the game in my living room.

But, in this case I do disagree. The Pats had the chance to turn the tables at the beginning of the second half. The very fact that they were only down by one score after getting dominated in the first half suggested that the game was their's to win if they could establish some momentum. Instead, they came out flat and let the Steelers maintain control.

i will say this about your qbs comments, i think he`s blaming the D not being able to get off the field

i was watching your game and the 1st qtr really reminded me of the chargers at steelers afc divisional playoff game

the 3rd qtr of that game, pitt comes out, runs the hell out of us, we get a short drive, and then pitt runs out the entire rest of the 3rd qtr

it was so brutal

when pitt is playing ball control, they`re amazing

Not true:

“Well I mean you always want to be out there," said Brady. "The defense is busting their butt to get them off the field. Like I said, we’ve got to compliment them as well. So if they go on a long drive, we can’t go in there and go three and out like we did. We’ve got to do a better job with that. Look, it’s a good football team, we played them on the road. There’s not much margin of error when you play a good team on the road, and we certainly made plenty of errors.”

tom forgot to read the terms of service before he said that

What happened to "don't worry, I got this one"?

Do we have actual proof that Brady made this comment? Is there a link, or some kind of actual source? Or did some idiot on here mention it this week, and several people ran with it? B/c that's my theory.

It certainly doesn't sound like the guy we've known for 10+ years, does it?

If so, the only 2 'predictions' or questionable comments that he's ever made in his career have both bit him in the ass now, when you include the comment from SB42 vs the NYG about being held to 17 points.

I'm thinking that the actaul quote from this supposed event is like the game of 'telephone' in regards to it being nowhere near as harsh as it sounds.

We all remember Asante's "Get Paid" tattoo also, right? When in all reality, it was the quote from a Goodie Mob song that said "Get rich to this." (nowhere even close to what everyone was suggesting that it meant)

Where did you even remotely come up with that idea? In all fairness, has there been one shread of evidence to think that?

This is the 2nd time in this thread alone that you have some weird idea that Brady acts 100% opposite of the reality, and have brought up weird ideas and mis-quotes out of thin air.

According to you, Brady not only told everyone that he "has this," suggesting that he isn't remotely scared of the Pittsburgh defense, and now he is "blaming the defense for not being able to get off the field!!"

Unless he suddenly morphed into a whole new guy, this is the exact opposite of what he'd say.

Steelers TOP - 40 minutes

NE TOP - 20 minutes

That TOP just underscores how out of hand this game really was.....

Score made it seem closer than it really was....
