He burned us last year too. Wallace having a big day is gonna be key for the Steelers.

Jam him at the line, disrupt his route and ensure there's over the top help against Wallace all game. Let him worry about that.

Just like the cowboys game was going to be a shoot out.

Easier said than done imo...Wallace is really growing into a good player. Probably the best deep threat in the league.

Does anybody like McCourty's chances against him 1 vs 1 ?

yes, because being negative and saying no does nothing.

Call me crazy, but if Mike Wallace is the reason the Patriots lose to Pittsburgh on Sunday, the secondary is ten thousand times worse than we all thought....The pass rush came alive against Pittsburgh last season, and hopefully they get all over that dbag qb of theirs....GO PATS

i dont think wallace is going to kill us per say, but hell get his due

what i dont want to see is him getting behind our defense, and after that everything in front of them is MUCH better, hes gonna catch some balls, hes a top WR

our defense is geared towards stopping the big play, and even though it has not really come through this year, that is really the safeties priority in this game

they cant run effectively, and we should not need all that many ppl to push the pocket

if we ever played a vanilla D against a team, this week might be the best one to do it......

(p.s. int's for both kyle and wilfork?)

Sound tackling will be the key to limit wallace. The guy seems to take a 12 yard slant to the house every week. When he catches the ball you gotta wrap him up. Teams love to run those crossing routes underneath against BB's D. Gotta make sure to limit the YAC.

The pats im sure will mix it up a bit but for the most part will play soft and have a safty over the top to stop the big play. TACKLE!!!

Pittsburgh offensive line is in shambles, if Big Al shows up to play, Roethlisberger isn't going to have time to throw down the field.

At this point Big Al is a Jag. I just hope he can make it the whole game without cramping up

Big game != cause for victory. He had 8 catches for 136 yards and 2 TDs last year, but it was far, far too late when they came.

Oh, and a big fat raspberry for citing PFF stats.

Uh-oh...King picked the Steelers, no sense playing the game tomorrow...:p

steelers only scored 20 points on the colts, the worst team in the league, and 17 points against the jaguars, another terrible team. this nonsense that tomorrow's game is going to be a "shootout" has to stop.

I like Wallace and was one of the proponents a long time ago questioning why we took Brandon Tate over him but Wallace is a one route runner. Jam him really hard and you can take him away. As you've mentioned, easier said than done but if McCourty slams him at the line of scrimmage doing a Revis with the defensive linemen taking the scramble pass away from R-Burger, that should help considerably.

Mccourty's best strength is not press coverage. i'd rather have him play more off the line of scrimmage like last year.

He burnt the Pats in garbage time. It was 23-3 going into the 4th quarter. Wallace didn't even catch his first pass in that game until 5:19 minutes left in the 3rd quarter. If that is burning the Pats, I hope to God he burns them again tomorrow.

Seriously, people need to stop looking at stat sheets and actually look at the game. Wallace did crap in that game until the game was basically over. Roethlisberger did nothing in that game until the game was basically over. Wallace got 126 yards and 2 TDs in the fourth quarter when the Pats never let the Steelers closer than 10 points from the lead.

Yeah,

Wallace stats for the first three quarters : 1 catch for 10 yards

Wallace stats for the 4th quarter: 7 catches for 126 yards and 2 TDs

It took the Pats playing a softer defense protecting a 21 point lead in the fourth quarter for Wallace to do anything.
