...So we could show them who's boss. Looks like we will have to wait for the SuperBowl.

Poetic if Tom Brady hoisting the Lombardi keeps them from a perfect season . . . . that's the single, most dominating thought I've been having this past weekend.

I wouldn't want to play them until this defense gets up to full strength,if you know what I mean.

I think we might beat them say somewhere in the last weeks of the season had they been on the schedule, but I would not want to play them right now.

Remember we BARELY were able to beat them last year and that was with Rodgers sitting on the bench and a backup QB no one heard of nearly pulled it off if it weren't for the heroism of Dan Connolly ;)

I don't.

We were lucky to beat them last year, and they didn't even have Rodgers.

Same exact feeling here. That would be poetic.

Check back in February, they might.

Winning Super Bowls isn't easy. I think we took that for granted in 2007. Whoever we face on our path to whatever postseason success we have will be a difficult path. I'd love to beat the best.

Plus, we'd be underdogs going in - and we've always felt comfortable as that, and it's been a long, long time since we haven't been the favorites.

The time will come.

I love to see the Pats win but I will say that if there's a really tough game ahead, I do tend to get a bit more excited about it. The Brady vs Rodgers debate has really fired up recently, so I think it would be nice for Brady to remind them who really is the best.:verycool:

the packers defense is a step back from that of last year....the patriots may be 32nd in yards allowed, but the media/fans seem to ignore that the Green Bay Packers are 31st! a rookie QB in his first nfl start put up 200yards on them and nearly beat them(who knows if he was allowed to throw on 4th and 10)

for all the talk in the media about how the Pats offense is carrying the defense and its not sustainable....no one wants to mention that the packers are a mirror image. Rodgers is pulling that team by scoring alot of points

I think a game between the packers-pats would be a shootout...with whomever turns over the ball the least times wins

You said everything that I was about to post. I agree. People forgot they suck against the pass just as much as we do if you want to look at stats.

But, for whatever reason, BB goes ultra-conservative when that happens. . . .

Having third and long, and rushing just 3? Over and over again?

I tend to think if the Pats get to the SB, they will be the technical underdog, but the favorite against the Packers. Somewhat like the Raiders/Bucs in 2003. I think the Pats matches up well with them on both sides!

I would like to see them play. Packers seem to be getting a bit "too big for their britches" lately. It would be good to see the Pats bring them back to reality a bit. Along with their fans too.

They are no Kurt Warner and Marshall Faulk. Who cares what it says on paper?

Seriously doubt this. There were plenty anaylist that have Pats and Packers in the Superbowl this year with Greenbay winning

The 3 most dangerous teams in the NFC for the Patriots are the Packers, Saints and Giants. I'm happy that the Patriots are only playing one of them during the regular season, and I hope they can avoid all 3 in the Super Bowl.

At this point they might show you whos the boss. You have a case of the exuberance of youth.
