The Colts are going to win a few games they've been competitive in most their games.
Miami is right there... there only shot is KC the rest will be lossses
is their a lottery if 2 teams are tied at 0-16 in this suck luck contest?
The rest of the schedule is challenging for them- including tonight's game vs N.O. , here's how the remainder of the schedule shapes up for Indy:
Week 7 - @ New Orleans Saints, Sun. Oct. 23, 8:20 p.m.
Week 8 - @ Tennessee Titans, Sun. Oct. 30, 1 p.m.
Week 9 - vs. Atlanta Falcons, Sun. Nov. 6, 1 p.m.
Week 10 - vs. Jacksonville Jaguars, Sun. Nov. 13, 1 p.m.
Week 11 - BYE
Week 12 - vs. Carolina Panthers, Sun. Nov. 27, 1 p.m.
Week 13 - @ New England Patriots, Sun. Dec. 4, 8:20 p.m.
Week 14 - @ Baltimore Ravens, Sun. Dec. 11, 1 p.m.
Week 15 - vs. Tenneesee Titans, Sun. Dec. 18, 1 p.m.
Week 16 - vs. Houston Texans, Thu. Dec. 22, 8:20 p.m.
Week 17 - @ Jacksonville Jaguars, Sun. Jan. 1, 1 p.m.
If they played each other, head-to-head would determine the result. That does not apply here. Also, none of them are in the same division, so there is only one criterion left:
Strength-of-Schedule.
The team with the worst SOS will receive the #1 pick.
Right now, that is the Colts.
The field is thinning. With 3 winless teams out there, I'm x'ing out the 2-5 crowd. Assuming Baltimore takes care of Jax tonight, here's our anti-leader board, in descending order of haplessness. (Number in parentheses indicates games remaining against other teams on the list.)
0-7 Colts (2: JAX, JAX)
0-6 Dolphins (0)
0-6 Rams (2: ARI, ARI)
1-6 Jaguars (IND, IND)
1-6 Vikings (0)
1-5 Cardinals (2: STL, STL)
Conclusion: the tough divisional schedule currently gives Miami the inside track.
Assuming Baltimore takes care of Jax tonight, here's our anti-leader board...
Nice work.
And, sadly, I just don't perceive any of the bottom ~ top? ~ 4 as having the requisite Staying Power to hang with the Colts and the Fish...Indeed, I wouldn't've said that of the Colts, either, but last night's work ~ I had to check to make sure I wasn't on the COLLEGE ScoreBoard!! ~ impresses me immensely: This really looks like a team that's mentally prepared to do whatever it has to do to suck for the entire season.
Even so...
A spectacular defeat like last's night's has been known to produce a cathartic effect on a team: There's something exhilarating about getting annihilated so emphatically.
The pressure's OFF the Colts, now.
Expectations have been OBLITERATED.
Now they can actually get to work...and start enjoying themselves, again.
I wouldn't be surprised if they suddenly start knocking off some Wins.
I would love to hear what goes on in the Colts locker room at half time of a game like the one last week.
I think the Colts management is prepareed to go 0 and 16 knowing they are coming back in 2012 with either or both Luck and Manning.
Go lay down and lick your nuts, if you have any nuts.....TrollMorale is probably low but clearly you've never played a game of Football if you think everyone on a NFL team has given up.
Also, the Cover-2 isn't stupid. It's just stupid how most of teams that use it have crappy secondaries.
Stick to Hockey, bro.
Ronde Barber and Warren Sapp want you to tell them to their face that the Cover-2 is stupid.
This isn't 2002, but you wouldn't know what happened in 2002 because you probably weren't even born yet.
Troll more please.
