On WFAN Fatcesa Is RIPPING Revis On Holding Marshall On 100 yd TD INT Return. Jets got on phone and hung on Fatcesa because Revis got insulted and pi$$$ed. lol CLASSIC!

Francesa is STILL SLAMMIN Revis after Jets hung up on him. lol Then Mike says oh well only jet who likes me is mad now I'm out of Jet players who like me and I can interview. lol

This is actually good news, because it could draw more attention to the problem of Revis and the favoritism officials show him.

There has not been any love lose between Francesa and the Jets for awhile. Apparently the Jets org have an agreement with the ESPN radio station to exclusive interviews etc. WFAN is considered the Giants station

Wow what a baby. Was just watching this
.....

If you watch Revis play, it's embarrassing how much he gets to break the rules. Just take the game against the Pats - when they show the cutups of him on Welker he always has his hands on him past 5 yards.

There isn't another player in the NFL who gets away with or relies on such rampant rule breaking as Darelle Revis.

Maybe after a few years of the Jets sucking, his reputation will diminish, and so, too will the calls. Then we'll realize he's just an above average corner who gets star calls by talking himself up so much.

Who is "Jets"?

What a sensitive baby Revis is? We all know Francesa can be a **** sometimes, but he had a joking tone with Revis. Then Revis throws out the lame you never played the game card.

Revis is an excellent corner. He's one of the two best in the league. That's the problem, really. You've got an already great player who also gets the benefit of calls, and that really slants how games are played. I hate it i basketball, and I don't like it any more in football.

Would you describe Revis' rookie season as excellent or above average? Because that's the last time he played football on a level playing field as anyone else.

He created his own reputation by talking about how great he was (he came up with "Revis Island" all by himself) and the Jets, desperate for any kind of positive press - only helped spread it. Rex Ryan coming on board and furthering the environment of self-promotion didn't help a year later.

Consider that when Rex Ryan came on board, the Jets pass defense went from 29th in 2008 to 1st in 2009. Revis isn't the reason. Revis' level of play was about the same in both seasons.

I agree that - as the rules are enforced - he is one of the top two corners in the league, and will likely go down as one of the top corners of all-time. I just think he owes a huge credit to that to the fact that he's playing in pre-2004 rules, and no one else is.

He was a rookie. However, I see him cover without contact, and he's still excellent at it. My point is that he doesn't even need to hold in order to be great. I'm opposed to anyone getting calls, but I'd have a lot less of an issue with some stiff getting away with the holds, because at least he would need it.[/QUOTE]

Revis plays the way Ty Law did before the rules changes, better. I heard Francessa saying the play was a clear interference earlier in the week.

The Jets will magically reappear on Francesa's show next summer when they have to sell tickets again. That's exactly what happened during training camp.

The Jets organization hates Francesa because he doesn't actually criticizes them and doesn't think Rex Ryan is God's gift. They have in the past refused to allow players to call into or be on the show. I am surprised they let Revis call in.

I just checked in and Francesa makes it sound that someone from the Jets forced Revis to get off the phone and even got on the line to say the interview is over. Most Jets fans hate Francesa anyway because he doesn't buy into their BS, but this could blow up on the Jets yet again in the media. They went a whole 24 hours without yet another controvesy and they are going to have to spend the next 24 hours dealing with this issue being front page news. Great for Francesa. Another distraction for the Jets.

Thank God the Pats have Stacy James. He would never put one of the Pats' players in the situation Revis was just in especially not making him hang up the telephone. In fairness to the Jets' head of PR, he/she has his/her work cut out for him/her because he/she is constantly putting out fires started by the head coach and players.

It is funny that Francesa was persona non-grata with the Jets until they started to have problems selling tickets and PSLs. If they were totally sold out with PSLs, they would reintroduce their ban of him and his show. They even invited him to the facilities this preseason and he didn't even have to wear a bullet-proof vest.

I just listened to it and it seemed to me like Revis was way too defensive. He said he didn't care if people thought it was a penalty but then got all worked up about it. Why be such a baby because someone thought it was a penalty?
